• Serene park that shows off the xcellent conservation

  We did the trip as a self guided trip as our guide left without us as we were a little late though the staff tried to reach out to the guide who didn't make any attempt to get in contact with us even while we were going past all the guided groups. The park is beautiful, felt serene with the fog and low hanging clouds touching the tops of the mountains.

  Vinnie was absolutely amazing. He was so patients with my friend and me. He showed me how to take iPhone pictures thru his telescope, he took photos of us & a selfie with us. My friend & I are both afraid of heights. Vinnie was so kind and concerned for our comfort that we were relaxed & excited for more bridges by the 3rd bridge! We saw quetzals, monkeys & beautiful plants. Vinnie shared his wealth of knowledge about the area- historically, ecologically, & geographically. So interesting. One of the best tours we have been on!!!!

  

  

  

• Beautiful nature hike

  Nature hikes are hit or miss with what you seen and we unfortunately did not see a lot that day. We heard of a quetzal sighting by another party. Our guide Deybar still made it an interesting trip with his great naturalist knowledge and he found things we would never have seen without a guide including a sloth . Since the park limits entry and trail access it was mostly a beautiful and peaceful hike without the large groups we encountered othe places. Quite a different environment and ecosystem than fortuna or manuel antonio.

  Our guide, Juan Carlos was wonderful. We saw numerous other amazing plants and birds. We even saw a quetzal! He was very excited to find this bird for us and went to numerous spots to get the best vantage point. We wouldn’t have seen any of these things without our fabulous guide.

  Deyber was the absolute best host we had in Costa Rica.knows his stuff for sure I learnt so much.thank you for the entertaining time filled with great info.see things we wouldn't have seen without you for sure. You would be a very lucky person to have his as you guide.

  Excellent tour of the Cloud Forest with Deybar. We learnt so much about the forest, and he kept the conversation flowing and interesting throughout. His passion for wildlife was infectious. Recommended tour. The highlight of the actual visit was seeing 20-30 hummingbirds at the feeding stations - beautiful.

  Mauricio was a a great guide. He was knowledgeable about the cloud forest and was patient with all of our questions. We weee able to see a pit viper, a tarantula, and quetzal bird during the visit.

• Rain or Shine The Cloud Forest is Worth It

  We did the Cloud Forest nature tour with Deyber as our guide, and even though the weather didn’t fully cooperate, it was still a really memorable experience. Deyber was fantastic super knowledgeable about the forest, the plants, and the animals. He did his best to give us as much as possible during the tour, but a torrential downpour cut things a little short, and most of the animals stayed hidden. That being said, just being able to see and walk through the Cloud Forest was worth it. The atmosphere alone feels otherworldly, and we left happy that we went. I’d definitely recommend going, even if the weather isn’t perfect you never know what you might see. Just make sure you come prepared: bring a sturdy poncho, water shoes or something with grip, and comfortable clothes, since rain is almost a guarantee in the rainforest (about a 70% chance). What really stood out was how kind and professional Deyber was. Since the conditions weren’t ideal, he actually refunded half of the trip, which says a lot about his integrity and how much he cares about his guests’ experience. That gesture alone made me respect him even more. Rain or shine, this is an excursion you don’t want to miss.

  We had a wonderful tour of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve with our excellent guide, Deyber. He was super knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and we learned a ton about the trees and animals of the cloud forest. He also did a great job spotting wildlife, including the elusive quetzal, vipers, an agouti and several exotic insects. If you want to get the most out of your visit to the Reserve, I highly recommend this tour.

  We have traveled far and wide through almost every continent (Australia we will come for you soon, not you Antarctica), and Deyber was the most well informed guide we have had thus far. A self taught man of Costa Rica who you know truly cares about his country and educating his tourists about everything and anything. Beyond the detailed descriptions of floura and fauna he also gave us the best recommendations around town! He gets all the stars in the Costa night sky!
