The Original Canopy Tour offers Canopy Tour, Rappel, climbing a Hollow tree, Tarzan Swing, and an exhilarating opportunity to soar through the treetops high above the forest floor on the adventure of a lifetime. Here you will view the jungle life from a perspective previously reserved for a selected group of researchers and photographers. Everything was designed for your fun but always preserving the forest.

Your tour begins in the primary, old growth forest and moves you to the recent growth of the secondary forest, offering a unique view of cloud forest in its various life stages. As you fly by, listen closely for the variety of birds that can be seen and heard throughout our private preserve. Become one with the canopy as you get your blood pumping with a 150 ft drop down to the forest floor by rappel. And just when you think the adventure has ended, you will experience a unique ladder system leads you back up through the hollow of an enormous tree, returning you once again to the excitement of this wondrous forest.

Today’s tour was great! Ramon, Daniel and their team made it such a great time! They were safe and patient with everyone and even pointed out some beautiful animals along the way.

The location was close to Santa Teresa, a short drive and the tour was efficient with helpful and kind staff. It was my first time zip lining and I loved it. My partner loved it as well. He has done it before and felt the lines weren’t that long but were exciting and worth it. The falls were interesting but you don’t need to go in. They say you have to go in and swim to the edge to see the other larger falls but you can’t see it from the edge where you swim over to. Apparently there is another trail you can take to get to the part of the falls below that is higher but we didn’t do this or we’re not offered. I saw people below but not for zip line. You have to hike up some very challenging stair/terrain but as long as you’re active you should be fine. Definitely gets your heart rate up.

I've zipped a few lines and was not really up for doing it again, but my wife wanted to. She was right (often is). Great guides Elian and Brayan -- super professional and safe, great teamwork. Brayan even photographed some monkeys with a telephoto lens while zipping by -- pretty impressive. It's a good way to get out, see the rain forest, and try zip-lining, which is fun and quite safe. Something like 8 zip line runs, plus the Tarzan swing, which isn't for everyone. (They won't let you do it if you weigh more than 200 lbs because you might hit the ground, and not in a fun way. )

Great experience from start to finish! Our guides, David and Fry (sp?), were so friendly and helpful. We did the Tarzan swing first and it was definitely the most terrifying or thrilling depending on your perspective. The zip lines were super smooth and enjoyable. The views from the canopies were stunning. My husband and I are both in our late sixties and average physical shape. It was definitely doable. The hike at the beginning is moderately challenging but no one makes you feel rushed and from that point onward it was pretty easy going. Skip the rappelling if you’re not in the best physical shape. It’s a must do in Costa Rica!

We had some incredible experiences with David and E We were in completely safe hands, were 6 in the group and the safety was at the top. We got moved our boundaries - and can only give the experience top ratings. We were so happy with E that we ended up adopting him 🙂 Take this trip - you won't regret it 👍👍👍

Best zip line ever! And staff was knowledgeable and entertaining. ☺️ 100% recommendation! There were more lines in this trip than any other I’ve experienced. And the views were amazing!

This was exhilarating and just enough physically challenging. Would have been nice to have such a great crew, but I can’t shout them out because they didn’t have name tags. The instructions were a bit hard to understand due to the language accent. Once the guide said, “This will be a great experiment.“ I thought he was joking, but he was actually saying this will be a “great experience,” and it was!

Extremely fun! My fiancée was super hesitant about heights but they were super accommodating and supportive through the experience, making sure we had fun and enjoyed the entire process. big shoutout to Joseph and Xavier especially, very memorable and would recommend

Elian and Bryan were our tour guides and were absolutely amazing! They were so much fun and made sure we had a great time. They also made me feel very safe! However, if your taking a shuttle pay attention to your messages on trip advisor. The time said pick up at 730 and they sent me a message the night before saying pick up at 7 which I didnt see and the shuttle left us! Luckily we had a car. So the time you are given when you register seems to not be accurate. I recommend this needs to be fixed on the admin side because it causes confusion. Other then that we had a great experience and would do it again!
