Step into the slippers of a local as we snack our way around Moorea with your local guide. Tama'a means to eat in Tahitian and we will be doing just that as you and your taste buds discover Moorea local favorite foods.

During your food tour you will taste and visit authentic local finds that will offer unique flavors where locals like to eat. You will be taken off the beaten bath and discover local "snack shops" and road side fruit stands. The food in Tahiti consists of three cultures; Tahitian, Chinese, and French. On the Tama'a street food tour we will seek out hidden food gems from all three backgrounds.

Guest will experience 10-12 tastings, depending on season and availability. The tour will take between 4-5 hours.

We will also stop at some breathtaking sites, and get a little cultural history of the island. The tour stops in the main town of Maharepa.

This tour is a MUST! Highly recommend to all visitors to Moorea. This trip was so enjoyable, informative, and fun. Heimata is so authentically passionate about food and how it helps us understand different cultures. We got to taste and learn so much on this tour. I am a vegetarian and was really impressed by how accommodating and manageable this was for my restriction. The best part about this was going off the beaten path to try both new foods and new establishments we never would have known to look out for otherwise. Perfect way to start our time in Moorea and connect with others through food. Thank you, Heimata!!

We traveled to Moorea with our family for our mother's 70th birthday & took this tour towards the end. We learned so much about the island and where all the locals ate. Our guide was kind & accommodating for our various dietary restrictions as well as getting all 8 of us on a tour together. We enjoyed literally every single thing we ate & cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

Great tour around Moorea trying many different types of foods that locals commonly eat! H was a knowledgable guide who gave interesting facts about the history of foods and the island community. Would highly recommend this tour early on your stay in Moorea to not only try delicious foods but also to get good recommendations on what to try next!

This experience was GREAT. H our tour guide was the BEST. He is a chef himself so very knowledgeable about food but also a local on the island so made is special. We learned about how to snack on Moorea.
