Day 01 - TIMPOHON GATE Pick up from city hotel and overland drive to Kinabalu Park. Arrive Park then proceed to Park Headquarter for registration and meet up with your Mountain Guide at the reception. After briefing and preparation commence your journey to Timpohon Gate and then you will start your trek to Laban Rata approximately 4-5 hours depending on individual’s fitness level. Packed lunch around noon and then you will make the final trek to Laban Rata Rest house (3,353m). Check-in to your dormitory room and the rest of the afternoon at leisure to explore the surrounding or simply soak in the scenery spread beneath you. Dinner will be served at Laban Rata Rest house. • Overnight at Mt. Rest house (dormitory type with bunk bed) – NON HEATED • (Meal: Packed Lunch, Dinner) Day 02 - SUMMIT > TIMPOHON GATE Wake up as early as 02:00hrs for another 3-hours track. There are ladders, hand railings and ropes to help you over the steeper parts. You reach the final destination at Low’s peak, the Summit of Borneo at 4,095.2m to catch the magnificent sunrise. Congratulations! Watching sunrise at the top has been described by travellers everywhere as a life-enriching experience. Then descending back to the rest house for a well deserve breakfa123st then onwards back to Timpohon Gate. Transfer to Park HQ and collect your certificate of achievement. After lunch we return to Kota Kinabalu. Drop off city area hotel or airport. • (Meal: Supper, Breakfast, Lunch) Things to bring Make sure you have shoes with good grip (Tennis or gym shoes are fine), bring enough warm clothing, (wind and water-proof clothes), a water bottle, high-energy foods (like chocolate, nuts, raisins or glucose sweets), gloves, hat, good torchlight, a complete set of dry clothes, a second pair of shoes or a pair of sandals, headache tablets, paper tissues, a couple of plastic bags, some plasters for cuts or blisters.

5.00An absolutely unforgettable experience! A beautiful, yet very challenging hike, which definitely is for the most adventurous and fit among us. Congratulations to the tour operator! Everything was perfectly organized from the pick-up at our hotel, the permits to access the park, the packed lunch, the housing, the certificate and the return to our hotel and - above all- our super caring tour guide Mr. Luke, who took care of our well being and safety throughout the whole trip. We are very grateful to have shared these marvelous days with you. Thank you once again, 5 stars is the maximum on this platform, but is too low to rate our experience. 👍👍😀😀

5.00Thank you, John from TYH Borneo, for the excellent 3D2N arrangements made for our hike to Mount Kinabalu at a very reasonable fee. We like the comfortable accommodations (Sutera Sanctuary Lodges, Laban Rata Rest House) and good food. Special diet (vegetarian) requests were adequately met. Porter guides were very helpful. One assisted a friend to reach the peak. John also went an extra mile to book a hotel for an additional night of stay in Kota Kinabalu which was not part of the package. The hike is not an easy feat but reaching the peak is fairly doable for those with some hiking experience. Prepare yourself adequately - training, good hiking shoes, warm clothes, rain coat, gloves - all a must. The view is stunningly beautiful especially at the summit. Book early, at least 6 months ahead.
