Kriens
In terms of population, Kriens is the third largest municipality and the second largest city in the Swiss canton of Lucerne. It lies at the foot of Mount Pilatus and borders Lucerne to the east. A short walk takes you to the cableway station of the Pilatus gondola.

5.00We were disappointed that the Tram car to the top of Mt. Pilatus was closed due to weather. But the rest of the tour was very informative. Our guide Anycia was exceptional and very knowledgeable. We will highly recommend her and Viator to friends traveling in the area. One suggestion: in the write-up for the tour, it would be nice to get an idea of the length of walking times and the terrain walked on. This would help seniors and other with walking limitations decide if the tour is right for them.

5.00Our guide was Domenico & he was awesome! He sent me a text the night before with info on where to meet him with a picture of the location. It ended up being just the 3 of us so it was like a private tour. The trip up the mountain on the cog rail was very cool. It had snowed up there the weekend before so that made it even more beautiful! After we got back to Lucerne he offered to walk us around the city and show us really interesting places. He was so knowledgeable about the entire area of Lucerne. He made sure we got on the correct train back to Basel when we were done. He really went above and beyond to make our day in Lucerne awesome!!!
Expensive tour to Mt Titlis and Lake Cruise!!

3.00The visit on Mount Pilatus was enjoyable and our guide provided a lot of information. However, now I consider the amount paid for the tour as extremely expensive. Had we taken the same bus (public transport) used by the tour leader and bought tickets up the mountain and back, and tickets for the boat ride, we would have paid almost half the cost paid for this tour!

5.00Phenomenal experience! Cable car up to the mountain and the views already made the tour worth it. Tour guide was great, one of our favorite parts of our Switzerland trip. Highly recommend!

5.00This tour was the highlight of our vacation! We planned our Viking extension to Lucerne on our own. We had no problem meeting our guide who was early at the train station. We didn’t know we needed a bus pass from our Hotel but he worked out the issue.. The sun was shining once we were above the clouds! We loved the leisurely walking day.
