Nizwa Fort Oman
We depart Muscat to Nizwa, the old capital of Oman. Visit to the famous Nizwa Fortress. Today, the for is a museum that showcases the history of the fort and surrounding area. Walking through the fortress you get to see amazing views of the ancient town and the nearby mountains. This impressive fortress was a base used in the military to hold off the hardest attacks and seiges.
Nizwa Souq
Next to the fortress is the large Nizwa Souq, a local marketplace that offers a variety of goods including jewelry, pottery, fish, and meats. The list goes on!

5.00Great guide and very hospitable. Beautiful scenes and delicious food. The Nizwa fort is a must see and highlight the cultural depth of the Sultanat.

5.00We enjoyed a wonderful day with our very helpful and knowledgeable guide Ali Ajabri. We loved everything including the souk where we tasted many different dates and other local delicacies, the fascinating Nizwa Fort, amazing views driving up the mountain and were shown fossils at the top and the deserted village at the bottom. Ali looked after us and drove very safely. It was a long day but well worth it. Would recommend.
You can definitely opt for Sunshine.

5.00We went with a vehicle led by a company called sunshine and a Guide. The vehicle was comfortable and our spacious guide was an amazing person who took great care of us. I have plenty of photos of my daughter Mary as a part of my life, we really love her. The company has helped us with any issues right away. An absolutely amazing experience.

5.00We had a good guide who was very patient and local to the area. The souk is good and the Fort/Castle is excellent and preserved very well. The views from the top of the mountain are good but in our mind not really worth the ride up and down. The old village is also spectacular. A long day but done at our pace

5.00Amazing trip with help and guidance of Muneer bhai. This was one of the best trips with his guidance and support. He not only knows the place well but also makes u feel comfortable everywhere. At every stage he knew before hand what we needed. A big thanks to Sunshine tours for having so well mannered and well cultured people on board.

5.00Amazing experience with Khalfan, walking through the city of Nizwa with history and culture, and then going to Jabel Akhadar which was surprisingly cold and at quite some height, this was well organised, well planned and well explained. We ended the day at the Birkat al mouz which had a great view of the palm trees from the top. Oman has so much to offer and I’m glad it was done with Oman Sharing Tours.

5.00Amazing day tour to Nizwa and Jebel Akhdar. The views from the mountain and the walk through the local fruit trees has been the highlight of Oman - a beautiful part of a beautiful country. The fort at Nizwa was very interesting and Nizwa souk was very relaxed with a chance to buy local products. Also stopped to see the ancient irrigation systems which was fascinating and got to try local dates, sweets, Omani bread and Omani tea and coffee as well as a nice lunch with great views in the mountains. The guide, Muneer, was fantastic, arrived early for pick up, drove very safely, was very helpful and informative and always checked if I needed anything and took some great pictures for me. Would definitely recommend going to this part of Oman and taking a tour with Muneer.

5.00Our family of three had an amazing time exploring Nizwa and the area around with the incredible Badar, who was patient, knowledgeable and friendly. The trip was a well paced with Badar showing us minor sights things along the way that weren't strictly on the itinerary. At no point did we feel rushed. I would definitely recommend this Agency and of course, Badar, to anyone contemplating a trip around Oman.

5.00I had a wonderful experience! Yousef was my tour guide, and he catered and personalized our tour based on my mom and i’s preferences and was always happy to explain on the tour about the background or place where we were going. He’s super calm, patient, and knowledgeable and was such a pleasure to have him be our tour guide! He talked about Oman and gave us some historical background during the long ride and was also super understanding and accommodating because we ran overtime due to traffic and my mom and I spending extra time in certain parts of the trip, as my mom and I enjoy taking photos and exploring every corner. Truly such a beautiful country and so glad I did this trip to explore! Yousef was truly so personable and kind he even got us Oman bread and Karak tea because we had not tried it before! Would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to do this trip!
