  Was an amazing day out with Sharan and my driver Sattam. I was lucky enough to have a private tour of the Elepanta Caves and island and Mumbai city. The history knowledge and relaxing pace made this tour really enjoyable.

  Although we booked this tour months before our travel, we were picked up by a driver who did not speak English. The tour guide eventually called and said we would go to the Elephanta Caves with our driver and he would meet up with us for the city tour. Meanwhile we had no way to communicate. Our driver was however a very kind man and he did look after us, so kudos to him! The ferry ride to and from the caves is very long, and although the caves themselves are wonderful, if you only have a short time in Mumbai, it might be difficult to allocate the time required to this one highlight. We did have an English speaking guide for the caves and we very much enjoyed seeing and learning about the caves. Our guide lived on the island and he also shared some fascinating stories about his life. Most people working at the caves live on the island and tourism is their main source of income. After arriving back in Mumbai, we finally met our guide, again a very nice man, who showed us some city highlights. We felt the day tour provided a lot of information, we were just sorry that we couldn’t communicate with our driver and we missed out on receiving information about things we were passing, what we were doing etc. Just unfortunate and not his fault, it was the guide’s responsibility to be present.

  We started with a city tour with Aakash who gave us a great insight of the life and culture of this city. He was very knowledgeable of the history and spoke excellent English. We then went by boat to the Elephanta caves and was escorted by a different guide. It was quite a trek up several steps and climb up a hill in the afternoon heat but worth it.

  The boat ride was long and very slow. However the island was a cacophony of noise, bustle, intrigue and amazing history. The cave itself was huge with various Hindu sculptures. The lane was bunged with stalls and shops in abundance. The best part was our guide, who was born on this island, and was extremely knowledgeable on the history, also fun and entertaining.

  A lot was fitted into this full day tour. Pick up from the cruise terminal was smooth and well organised. The morning was spent visiting the Elephanta caves with a local guide - an hour boat journey both ways. The afternoon was spent visiting local sites in Mumbai with another guide who was very informative and interesting. We saw a lot and felt that we had a good feel for Mumbai at the end. Very well organised and air conditioned minibus.

  Sharon and Pankaj were excellent tour guides during our visit to Mumbai and the Elephanta Caves. They were extremely professional, warm, and welcoming from the very beginning. Their explanations were clear, insightful, and full of valuable historical and cultural information, which truly enriched the experience. Everything was well organized, and they were attentive to our needs throughout the tour. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for knowledgeable and reliable guides in India.

  We had an excellent excursion of Mumbai and Elephanta with a knowledgeable and amiable Tour guide. The guide at Elephanta was also a very welcoming and informative guide.

  Excellent tour, gives an overall feel for the city Sharon our guide was very good . Elephant island included and was good to see. We had a great guide there as well

  We did the Elefanta Island and City Tour today. It was an Excellent tour with a friendly and helpful guide called Dipak who went out of his way to ensure that we saw everything and that we were kept safe at all times. Would thoroughly recommend this tour especially with Dipak as a guide

  Very educational experience presented by excellent, knowledgeable guides. Our guide Priti Kushal was exceptional along with our driver Saddam.
