Todai-ji Temple
Kofuku-ji Temple
Kofuku-ji Temple was established in Nara at the same time as the capital in 710. It is famous for it's five-storied pagoda, the second tallest wooden pagoda in Japan just seven meters shorter than the five-storied pagoda at Kyoto's Toji Temple. See this temple for yourself at sunrise!
Kasuga Grand Shrine
Kasuga Grand Shrine is famous for it's lanterns, which have been donated by worshippers. There are approximately 3000 stone and bronze lanterns, standing as one of Japan's most historical shrines. It holds significance as the sacred grounds that inspired the presence of deer in Nara Park.

Today I was lucky enough to have Soichiro as my guide around Nara. Fantastic guide who both very friendly and happy to chat as we walked along, but was also very knowledgeable about all the places we visited. Messaging before the tour started was really good and they provided a picture of meeting point, which was super helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Thank you Soichiro

We booked this tour as our extended family group included teenage girls who wanted to see the deer at Nara as part of our Japan trip and we had only limited time in Kyoto. This early bird trip was perfect for this purpose. Nara is a brilliant place to visit - Toda-ji in particular is an awesome sight and this tour gets you in the Nara area before the crowds arrive in force. Our guide Satoshi was very organised and provided background on all the sites. We all agreed Satoshi was a terrific companion during the tour. It really added to our experience not only to hear about Nara but his life in Japan - he also made a terrific recommendation for lunch at Nara station! All in all an excellent experience and strongly recommended.

Shin was awesome! As a younger and more energetic guide, he kept our attention throughout the entire tour. As a Nara native, he was extremely informative and helped us to better understand the history of such a beautiful city.
