As soon as we pass through the shopping arcade, we will visit Kofuku-ji temple where we can see the beautiful 5 stories pagoda. After taking some good photos, we will be heading to Todai-ji temple. The huge Great Buddha statue await you in the back. Our local guide will explain some histories and interesting facts about Japanese Buddhism and temples!

After seeing the Great Buddha statue, we will enjoy viewing Nara on the Nigetsu-do temple!

On the top of Todai-ji temple, there is Nigetsu-do temple where we can enjoy the great view of Nara. After that, we will visit some traditional souvenir shops and walk toward Kasuga shrine!

    Mari, from Magical Trips, was our guide for the day. She explained well the different Temples and Shrines that we visited, she went out of her way to vary the itinerary route to accommodate our groups mobility and energy levels during the day. We enjoyed the lunch very much. Mari connected with each family member during the day which led to a tour with lots of laughs. Providing a link to the photos Mari took on her phone was a nice touch that other tours don't generally provide. We would recommend this tour to families looking for the highlights of Nara.

    This was such a great experience! We took this tour in mid-October. Our tour guide, Hiroko, was so incredibly kind and made sure we all enjoyed the tour and got all of our questions answered and learned as much as we could. She really had a passion for the places we were visiting and it showed. My husband and I really enjoyed our time with her! I chose a guided tour for Nara for this exact reason, anyone can walk around temple to temple, but Hiroko really made our day special.

    Disappointing. Guide was bored, reserved, rather unfriendly, prefers to talk to men and talked in a monotone. Patronizing and condescending. We talked a lot over lunch so I did not get to see a traditional Japanese house which she mentioned we would go to. Her pacing was poor. Also, we were supposed to meet 10 minutes before departure time. She arrived at exactly 9:50am. She said she would head back to the station right after (I think she said she no longer had a job/trip for the day) but she suddenly remembered she needed to buy something when I told her I would go with her.) She told me to walk straight and I would reach the station. Well, the station entrance was to the left. We were supposed to go to a souvenir shop, she never announced where and when, then when I asked later when we would go she was irked and said, didn’t you see that we entered through a souvenir shop on our way to lunch? How was I to know that was the souvenir shop? We didn’t stop. She took photos instead of using our phone cameras and would email them to us but she did not get our email addresses. Not worth the money. Grossly overpriced for what you see and experience. Will never recommend this tour. DO NOT POST THIS. Just train her better.
