3.00We were not taken into a haunted house or room as advertised. The guide we had was very good. She had a lot of interference with outside noise. So you had to stay close to hear her. It's hot so bring water, and wear comfortable shoes.

Our guide, Orion—equal parts Southern gentleman and ghost whisperer—set the eerie mood from the very first footstep. As the summer heat tried to melt us like wax figures in Madame LaLaurie’s attic, he swooped in with electronic handheld fans and icy lavender towels like some mystical swamp butler sent from beyond. Yes, ghosts may have been watching us, but we smelled fresh and felt pampered. Now, the stories? Chef’s kiss with a side of goosebumps. Orion didn’t just tell ghost stories—he summoned them. Every tale came wrapped in mystery and meaning. He painted the pain, the rage, the longings of the long-dead with such vivid strokes, I forgot I was walking in the French Quarters and not through a fog-draped graveyard. My daughter (a self-declared horror snob) was absolutely hooked—whispering “NO WAY” and clutching my arm every time Orion dropped some ghost tea. And stepping inside a genuinely haunted house? Let’s just say… I will reconsider checking the random animal noises I hear outdoors. If you’re looking for jump scares and cheap thrills—this isn’t that.
