Enjoy this full day tour from Avignon with an experienced local guide who will take you to places where you will discover some of the best preserved Roman heritage. Visit Nimes: Stop at the Foutain Gardens, see it’s Roman temple (15 minutes photo stop), it’s amphitheater (1 hour stop, ticket included), walk through the charming medieval town Uzes (walking tour and lunch break) + admire the whole town from the medieval garden old tower (April 1st - November 1st, ticket included) and finish by a masterpiece of Roman construction: the Pont du Gard. In this tour, step back in 2000 years of history.

The garden was laid out in accordance with the classical layout around the Nemausus spring, spreading forth a supply of water that feeds pools and the canal. In the Gallo-Roman period, this area was the site of the baths, theatre and the temple of Diana which with its surrounding greenery makes for a romantic backdrop.

5.00Great tour for seeing these beautiful towns and the Pont du Gard. Our guide was awesome! The ride was comfortable and the time spent at each location matched the trip description. This was a good way to see if a longer day or overnight trip back to Nîmes or Uzès was something I should add to my itinerary.

5.00This is a great way to see amazing Roman ruins, artsy hilltop walled cities and learn about (and walk on!) an awe-inspiring aqueduct…all while someone else takes care of driving and shares history, travel insights and great local color. You are going to thank yourself for this day.

5.00Avignon is a 2-day treat, Pont du Gard walk to the bridge and museum, with lunch, is an amazing adventure and Uzes turned out to be a total surprise...a charming small town with a vibrant outdoor marketplace, One of the highlights of our southern Rhone adventure.

5.00Nathalie was a great tour guide! I had a great time seeing the amazing Roman sights and learning of their history. My only wish is that we had more time at the sites but I think they are making it a full day tour next year, which would accommodate that.

5.00Excellent guide and interesting sights. Order of itinerary is all wrong. Half day tour is just right. Too bad we did not go into arena in Nimes.

5.00How lucky were we. We booked this tour the day before we'd taken another tour and struck gold as we got Kelsy again (had her on a full day tour the day before). Even though the places that we visited were magnificent the trip was made all the better by Kelsy's lovely personality and vast knowledge of the region and not just things associated with the places that we visited. She even made the effort to find out the answer to one of my questions that had nothing to do with what we were doing on the tour whilst we had free time. We weren't rushed and her instructions were clear with regard to meeting spots, time frames etc. If you get Kelsy as a guide on a tour your in for a great day!!

5.00Our guide was so pleasant and knowledgeable. She had a warm and engaging personality and loved sharing the history about the places we visited. She was attentive and happy to answer any questions we had. think her name was Amy( but she is the young lady who used to live in Bermuda- sorry if I got the name incorrect )
