Quý, our guide, texted us the night before about the time for pickup. A driver and Quý picked us up and we drove for more than 2 hours to our first Ninh Bình destination including restroom break. First, we stopped by Hoa Lư, the old Vietnam Capital, walking around and observing a shrine dedicated to the first king. Next up in the lunch buffet, after that there’s a bike ride around the village. Then we get to ride a boat to Tràng An where it took you to a beautiful nature scenery including temples and caves. Lastly, you get to climb 550 steps to an observatory site in Ninh Bình. The view from the top was breathless (literally, after all the climbing). Quý was very nice, he took care of everybody and easy to talk to. He Took our photos and video and at the end of the tour texted it to all of us.

Amazing day out of the busy city. Well organised with a bit of everything hikes, bikes, boats and history. Our guide Paul was terrific! He was very energetic, informative and was very interactive with the kids. We travelled with an 11 and 7 yr old who both loved the day out.

Amazing experience. Very beautiful countryside and the boat ride in the lake around the mountains and through the caves was a highlight. The tour also included a hike to the top of Mua cave overlooking Tam Coc river, tiring but worth it for a picture with the Dragon. Mia our tour guide was informative and fun. Plan for a full day of activities.
