Knockabout Travel takes you to Martha's Vineyard, with this self-paced audio tour of the most popular town on the island. Discover the origin story of how Oak Bluffs developed from its humble beginnings as a religious camp into a summer destination for business moguls, celebrities, and US Presidents.
On the tour, we discuss the development of the Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association, home to the "campground" and the famed gingerbread cottages. Learn how the area around Ocean Park and Circuit Avenue was developed with tourism in mind, and how that conflicted with the original Methodist campers. Along the route, you will be introduced to some of the finer points and lesser-known history of the town, as well as places to grab lunch or a drink.
The tour is GPS guided with turn-by-turn directions and audio tracks that play automatically at the right time and place so you're free to simply enjoy the tour.

1.00App did not work. Sent a text first help. No answer. Paid for 4 walking talks on 2 apple and 2 galaxy phones. Kept getting message you had to be on wifi to work. It's a walking tour- no wifi. DO NOT RECOMMEND

5.00My wife and I did this recently on a one-day trip to Martha's Vineyard. We had never been before, so we learned quite a bit. We did run into a bit of a snag, and left a message with Gregg, and he called us back within five minutes. A wonderful way to get an introduction to the island, and it was quite easy to stop the tour, and linger at various spots. Key Points: The cell signal on the island can be spotty. DOWNLOAD THE APP (VoiceMap), and the complete tour before you get on the island! (That way, you'll be ready to start your tour as soon as you get off the ferry.) Make sure your phone is fully charged, and you have headphones. All in all, a great tour for a fantastic price!

30 minutes at a feces ridden park

3.00What can I say? The app didn't work. When I tried to launch the app, it just shows a spinner and never stopped. I stood at the starting location of the audio tour for more than 30 minutes trying to get it to launch. To the point that my wife got quite mad with me.
DO NOT DO THIS TOUR!!!

1.00DO NOT do this tour! Bought it for my husband & myself. Neither one of our tours worked on our phones. It had no clue of where you were & did not instruct you on where to go. We did get it to work for maybe 3 minutes on my phone only but from that point on it just kept repeating the same info even though we continued on the way to the next area to see. Very frustrating & a big waste of money!!! I'm hoping to get my money back from Viator since I have used them LOTS in the past with almost no problems!!!

4.00We loved the information provided in this tour! The app was a bit clunky, but we managed a workaround. For instance, the audio tour stopped working on my phone after the second point of interest. I was able to continue by sharing my partner’s earbuds! But, all in all, I would recommend the tour.
