Alexandria's Christ Church
Learn about the historic church and see the pews where George Washington and the Lee Family sat. We step inside for a self guided walk when the church is open; but this is still the local parish and can be closed for weddings, funerals and events.
A historic restaurant serving food since 1770, we'll discuss Alexandria of the 18th century and see the old ice house still visible from outside.

5.00This ended up being a private tour of Old Town Alexandria! (Lucky us). Our guide was an encyclopedia of interesting facts about all things Alexandria and George Washington. The walking was very doable (we are in our 70's) and the weather was perfect. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in learning more about Revolutionary War days and our Founding Fathers.

5.00Wayne was on time, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the trip enormously. Tour was two hours as scheduled. Many interesting facts from a mansion, a tavern, stories of presidents, pictures on his IPad to enhance the information of each location. We recommend Wayne and this tour as a must see in Old Town Alexandria. ,

5.00Our family group of three (2 adults and a 12-year old grandson) toured Georgetown with guide Ingeborg on an early Saturday evening. Ingeborg arrived with baked goodies for all of us to share, and began the tour with a brief but content packed history of the neighborhood and the C and O Canal. From there we walked throughout Georgetown's residential area while Ingeborg told many stories about the neighborhood's inhabitants, pointed out and explained the various architectural styles there, and showed us some of her favorite places. Ingeborg was engaging, well-versed on history, professional, fun, and responsive to our tour goals. We had a great time and highly recommend the tour and, in particular, this guide.
