Scuba Dive the 2nd largest reef in the world and see thousands of fish and turtles while learning to scuba dive safely with an instructor. Featuring the world renowned PADI certification course, the largest scuba organization in the world and accepted everywhere. Includes some classroom instruction and review of your online work, shallow water skills and four Open Water Dives and all equipment needed. You will do the course work online, once you sign up for the course, we will contact you for some additional information and get you all set up with PADI so you can do the online work. It takes 6-8 hours to complete the online portion.

Before arriving in Roatan, I emailed a few shops about getting my boyfriend open water certified. It had been a couple years since my last dive, so I needed a refresher as well. Wayne at West Bay Divers was quick to respond and the only one who sent me a detailed itinerary of what that would look like if we wanted to dive together. My boyfriend did the open water course while I did a refresher and fun dives with Mekela. She is an amazing instructor and it was clear from the start that safety is her priority. She made sure we both knew what we were doing and what to expect on every dive. She did a great job pointing out the beautiful marine life and teaching us how to spot some of it ourselves. West Bay Divers does a great job keeping the diver to instructor ratio small so nothing gets overlooked or missed. I would recommend West Bay Divers and Mekela to anyone who is already a diver or who wants to take a diving course. You will have the best time and see some amazing marine life!!!

Excellent I loved it!!! I did the open water helped me a lot!! The confined waters were on the beach 🤩🤩🤩!!! And the incredible dives. Takeshi was the maximum super recommended 👍🏼❤️✨🐬🦈🐠🐋🐟🪸

This is the place if you’re thinking about scuba diving and or want to get your open water certification. Our instructor Takeshi was the best. Very professional patient and helpful. The whole staff made you feel like part of their family.

We can't recommend Kelvin Mann at West Bay Dive Shop enough for anyone looking to get their dive certification! From start to finish, he was an exceptional instructor for both my husband and me. Kelvin is incredibly thorough, taking the time to clearly explain every skill and concept, which made us feel confident and well-prepared. His patience was outstanding—whether we needed extra practice or a bit of clarification, he was always calm, supportive, and never rushed us. Kelvin’s experience is evident, and we especially appreciated how he prioritized safety without sacrificing the fun. He has a unique ability to balance the seriousness of diving with a relaxed, positive atmosphere, which made the whole learning experience so enjoyable. We always felt completely at ease, knowing we were in such capable hands. Thanks to Kelvin’s professionalism, kindness, and expertise, we not only earned our PADI certification but also developed a real love for diving and feel like we found a new friend in Roatan in Kelvin. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, supportive, and fun dive instructor, we wholeheartedly recommend Kelvin! Also, Mary, was the sweetest and most helpful in the Dive shop and deserves kuddos as well.

Sean was my dive instructor and he was amazing. Super nice chill guy who did a great job making me feel at ease the entire time. Scuba can be a bit intimidating but he made it relaxed and fun. Very knowledgeable and thorough going over all of the information and explaining everything. The dive sites were amazing with the reef so alive with tons of fish and seeing eagle rays and turtles. I felt comfortable and confident in my scuba training before it was even over. I really had an unbelievable experience diving in Roatan and Sean was really the one who made my entire trip. If you're considering diving, do it. Ask for Sean. He is the man!

Our experience diving at West Bay Divers was excellent. My GF and I had Makayla as an instructor and she was really great and patient with us. We did a refresh and discovery dive. Would highly recommend anyone from Roatan to dive here.

We had an amazing time diving with West Bay Divers! Our instructor, Kelvin, was professional, knowledgeable, and very attentive. He showed us some wonderful underwater sights and made sure our diving experience was safe and fun. He also certified my daughter during our trip. She felt confident and at ease with the help of his instruction. The entire staff at West Bay Divers was friendly and we felt well taken care of every step of the way. I highly recommend West Bay Divers to anyone looking to dive in Roatan. We'll definitely be diving with them again when we return!

Got all three of our teen children open water certified scuba diving and took a family dive on their last day. It was great and our instructor. Mekala was perfect with all of us. We needed a refresher course cause it was 20 years since our last dive We also stayed at the Kimpton. Both were five star and highly recommend.

My son and I completed our Open Water scuba certification with West Bay Divers and had a fantastic experience. Joel was our instructor, and he is very knowledgeable and thorough but also made it VERY fun - he is always smiling and kept us laughing while we were learning. He also pointed out a lot of marine life during our dives - more than I expected to see! I highly recommend them!

We had an unbelievable experience with West Bay Dive. A full week of open water PADI cert for the kids, and dives for the whole family. We probably did 8 dives in total? It was completely custom to what our family wanted - we added throughout the week, we felt 100% safe with our instructor Joel - and they took great care of our family at all times. Joel was completely knowledgeable about all marine life, he pointed out and identified countless fish, rays, crabs, turtles and more. They are all wonderful stewards of conservation on the reef at all times. If you want to dive in Roatan - I cannot recommend this organization enough - and request Joel for your whole week! He will take great care of you - no matter what kind of dive experience you are looking for.
