This tour begins on the edge of Oulanka National Park and takes you to its winter highlights – the frozen Kitka River, the roaring Myllykoski rapids, the impressive Jyrävä waterfall, and the wild Aallokkokoski.

By the campfire we cook nettle pancakes with homemade Kuusamo cloudberry jam. In very cold weather, we’ll cook an alternative snack by the campfire instead.

We had a lovely time on our tour with Piritta. It was -17C out and Piritta always checked in on how we were doing and ensured we were keeping warm throughout. She was really informational with her tour as well which we really appreciated! We ended the tour with some waffles and really yummy homemade jams made by Piritta - thank you for the lovely day out Piritta!
