A lovely journey onboard the ferry from Perth to Rottnest Island. The ferry was prompt and the crew told us about different points that we were passing during the trip which was informative and interesting. The crew on board were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and even gave out free ice pops half way through the trip which was a nice touch. Rottnest Island is a gorgeous island and is definitely worth a visit. The bike hire was straightforward and food and drink on the island is available and delicious.

The trip over took forever as we had to stop in Fremantle as well, which wasn’t advised at booking. Departed at 8.30am but didn’t get to the island until 11am, which was very disappointing and a long start to the morning. Especially when told by the ticket guy that it would be a quick 1hr 30mins. Also one of the more expensive options in comparison to the other 2 ferry companies and an older boat as well. Definitely book ferry tickets in advance as you can’t just turn up and get a ticket. I’d have a shop around at the others first and plan in advance for next time.

Rottnest Island was on the list of things to do when my mum and I recently went to Perth for a week-long holiday. We went there for a day trip and I booked two roundtrip ferry tickets which departed from Perth and took us to Rottnest Island via Fremantle. The journey down the Swan River included guided commentary up to Fremantle, after which we travelled over the sea towards Rottnest Island. We then explored the island for the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon. We explored the island on foot and enjoyed two free walking tours run by experienced guides. I especially enjoyed our walk to Pinky Beach where we had a swim in the crystal blue waters. Around lunchtime we spotted quokkas running around trying to get a feed from tourists in the main food and shopping precinct. I didn't mind as I was able to take many pictures of these cute critters. We then enjoyed a bit of shopping before we took our afternoon ferry back to the mainland, which was a choppy ride but fun nonetheless. I'd highly recommend the Perth to Rottnest Island round trip ferry tickets for travellers who want to enjoy a day trip to Rottnest Island while being flexible about how they get around the island.

The ferry was an excellent way to travel to Wadjemup (Rottnest Island). It was a little hard to hear the commentary along the way, but other than that, it was great. The island itself was a 10/10 experience.

For any locals or visitors to Perth, I would strongly recommend visiting Rottnest Island, and specifically using this company for your travels there and back. Their guest service level is top notch. We had a rough journey on our way to the island, and the staff was so caring of their passengers.
