Royal Palace
Today, you will join a group tour and your guide start to pick up from a few different hotels, so the pickup time is variable between 7:30am to 8:30am, so guests are advised to wait in the hotel lobby and ready to go as soon as your guide arrives, after pick up everyone on the tour, your guide will take you to the Royal Palace, built in 1866 by the French after King Norodom relocated the royal capital from Oudong. Located on the western banks of the Tonle Sap and Mekong River, the palace complex features stunning Khmer architecture, divided into 4 main compounds.
Silver Pagoda
The grounds of the Palace are also home to the Silver Pagoda, which received its name because its floor is made of 5,329 silver tiles. Learn about the Khmer kings, resident at all times, with the exception of the period when the Khmer Rouge took control in 1975. See gold and jeweled Buddha statues in the Silver Pagoda, and the Angkor Wat style Bell Tower.

5.00This was a great, very personal tour of Phnom Penh and helped me understand the history and atrocities this country has experienced. It was very sobering to learn how dangerous communism can be resulting in millions of lives being taken.

5.00This was an excellent tour of the key spots in the city. Mr. Kasy was a great guide, and his own experience of loss in the genocide added a lot of depth to the tour and his narration. As a side note, be warned that the genocide museum and killing fields are an intense, graphic experience.

5.00My tour guide, Siphat, was very good. He had many personal stories to tell. He lost many family members and, as a 12 year old child, suffered unimaginably in Khmer Rouge rice fields. I am thankful that he continues to tell his story. Highly recommend his tour. I should mention that I was visiting with a friend who was not physically able to take part in the tours. Siphats driver, Pum, took him around the city while I was touring. Really, really appreciated that highly recommend!

5.00Highly recommend this tour. Very knowledgeable, friendly and local tour guide. Siphat speaks English, Russian and native cambodian. our experience very memorable in Phnom Penh. The car was very comfortable for my senior parents and young child.

5.00It was a great way to learn a lot about Cambodia's history. Siphat the guide was excellent. Shared stories from his own experience and was very informative on both the history of Cambodia and any questions that I asked. Very helpful with a lot of recommendations on what else to see and do while in Phnom Penh. Pum the driver was very great also. Would recommend to anybody wanting more insight into the history and these sites.
