  The tour was very well organized, Lucaluigi, our tour guide and Nicola our driver were fantastic, extremely professional, on time and created a wonderful experience for our group.

  Our group of 6 had a 12 hour day with a private auto and driver to tour Herculaneum and Pompeii and spend half a day in Ravello on the Amalfi Coast. We had private tours with Manuela at Herculaneum and Andrea at Pompeii. Each was very knowledgeable and charming and communicated nicely with our group. Our driver, Ciro, was excellent as he navigated the traffic of Naples and the mountain roads. He also provide insight and information along the route. Vincenzo at MondoGuide was of great help in planning and arranging our day as we communicated back and forth. His replies were always prompt and helpful. All in all, this was a great experience!

• A day among the ruins

  I never could get enough of Roman ruins, so on my last trip I had to leave my airbnb in Ravello at 10am and didn't have a flight from Naples at 7:15pm. I booked a private tour through Dario Fornario. I needed a car to pick me up, take me to Pompeii and then on to Ercolano. Gaspare, a very nice man picked me up on time and drove me to Pompeii where we met the guide Andrea. I was thrilled to have my own personal, knowledgable guide to walk me through the streets of Pompeii. After a quick lunch, we drove on to Ercolano. I had never been there and loved every minute especially since it was not as crowded. I could have stayed longer there but Gaspare called us to come back to the car since we agreed that I would be comfortable getting the the airport at about 5pm. It was a truly memorable day with 2 gentlemen. I can not recommend them enough.

  The tour of Pompeii is a great way to break up the trip from Sorrento to Naples. Our tour guide, Manuella, brought the city of Pompeii to life with her insignts and commentary. Her enthusiasm and knowledge made the tour a huge success. Pompeii was a highlight of our trip to Italy, and Mondo planned it perfectly

  My family of 4 (kids 15 and 12) had a fun excursion with Mariano! He was a fantastic driver and guide and made the day very relaxing. He had wonderful suggestions and was happy to accommodate changes to the plan - our kids got tired after the ruins and he was happy to drop them back at the cruise ship before taking us out to lunch. Overall it was a wonderful day and I highly recommend Mondo guide for future excursions.

  We had a fantastic day trip with Gaspare in late May 2025. He took us around to Pompeii, Herculaneum, and the Naples Archeological Museum as part of a privately driven day trip. It was outstanding - he offered interesting background about the sites along the way and was prompt in picking us up. The stand-out was having Roberta as a guide in Pompeii. She truly made the experience memorable. We've had many guides in other places that were hit or miss but Roberta was truly great - offering very detailed explanations of what we were seeing with an enthusiastic, passionate demeanor that brought the experience to life. It was great to not just see Pompeii, but understand what we were seeing - it ended up being one of the highlights of our vacation. I would not hesitate to recommend Mondo for private day trips or other guided tours.

  We truly enjoyed our day! Domenico was a great driver, especially compared to some of the drivers we have had here! 😬 Andrea was one of the best tour guides we have had. He was very attentive to the group’s needs, made sure we were doing well. I was impressed how he knew all our names and drew us into the conversation.   MONDOGUIDE managed this rather complex tour excellently, from pick up at our hotel, to transportation to each site, and all made enjoyable by an excellent and chatty driver and very knowledgeable guide. We greatly appreciated the guide's flexibility in considering our group's interests and adjusting accordingly. We highly recommend MONDOGUIDE and now know why they are a RICK STEVES favorite pick for guide services. We benefited from being in a small group and received very good quality of services and value.

  My husband and I LOVED our tour of Pompeii and Carolina was a wonderful guide! We will never forget our trip to Pompeii - it has been a life dream of mine since I was 12 years old and now it has come true!
