Pompeii Archaeological Park

I study archaeology and I have been a guide in Pompeii for 27 years: I still cannot believe how advanced Romans were! You will be surprised by the size and at the amazing state of preservation of the archaeological site. We will visit the Forum, ancient public baths, private houses, taverns, shops, theatres, and more. We will admire fabulously preserved frescos and mosaics that adorn the walls and floors of the ancient houses. We will walk at your own pace and I will make sure that everyone in your group understands what he is looking at. We will stay away from crowds as much as possible. The itinerary is flexible and I shall adapt to your will and needs.

We will take a rest at a beautiful winery in the National Parl of Mt Vesuvius. Once on the bay of Naples, we will drive a bit on the Mt Vesuvius to reach this organic wine farm. It is a wonderful setting overlooking the Bay of Naples. There will be a short guided walk to the vineyard to discover this unique land and how they produce their “Lacryma Christi” wines. It is beautifully located and it is going to be a fun experience. Lunch consists of a pre-set menu: Appetizers: Bruschetta, ricotta cheese, olives, provolone cheese, salame and capocollo cured pork meat Main: Spaghetti with the cherry tomatoes “del Piennolo” from Mt Vesuvius Dessert: “Pastiera” - wheat and ricotta cake Along with lunch over 5 different wines will be served (Rosè Sparkling, White, Rosé. Red, Red Reserva, sweet Dessert Wine). The cost is € 28 per person that can be paid on the spot with a card or cash. There also is an upgraded version of the wines for the cost of € 35 per person.

I highly recommend this tour. I am certain this is the best way to experience Pompeii and Herculaneum. Fabrizio is knowledgeable, personable, and conveys his passion for these areas and the history of the region. We traveled with my in-laws who appreciated the customizable pace- they didn’t have to worry about keeping up with a group, and Fabrizio was mindful about choosing paths easiest for the (at times) unsteady walker. He tailored the physical and academic parts of our tour specifically to my group’s needs. And I highly recommend the lunch with wine tasting at the vineyard on Mt Vesuvius. It was a picturesque, delicious, and perfectly timed break between the two tour sites. Thank you again, Fabrizio, for being the highlight of our once in a lifetime trip to Italy!

Today we had the most amazing tour with Fabrizio Belleni! Fabrizio was fabulous. As an archaeologist, he is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He was able to answer all our questions and provided meaningful insights into life in Pompeii and Herculaneum. He is also very considerate. I highly recommend this tour!!!

Our guide was super knowledgeable about the archeology of the sites and also very hospitable in terms of accommodating our mobility issues. We would definitely recommend this tour and would without a doubt, ask for Fabrizio as our guide. This was a trip of a lifetime! Thanks Fabrizio!!

We had a wonderful day with Fabrizio exploring Herculaneum and Pompeii. Fabrizio met us at the cruise terminal and drove us to the sites in his lovely van. He is very knowledgeable about not only both Herculaneum and Pompeii but also the history of Naples and ancient Rome. Between the two cities we had a wonderful wine tasting and lunch on the slopes of Mt. Vesuvius at the Russo Family Winery. I very highly recommend this tour, you will enjoy your day. My only complaint is that I had to go home!

Fabrizio was excellent . We had a great pace during the day to see as much as possible , even with the August heat . Seeing Pompeii and the Herculaneum after seeing so many videos and documentaries is unreal . The frescos and buildings were so well preserved . Exceeded all expectations ! A must do while visiting !

Fabrizio was amazing! He modified the tour to our needs and he had some great recommendations to make the tour more comfortable. He is extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful guide. Very personable. We had the best time.
