Luang Prabang
Our morning feasting tour of 15+ tastings invites guests on a culinary experience around the historical city of Luang Prabang. It's a carefully curated food adventure, led by a team of professional Laos food guides. Before we get started, your tour reflects the local cuisine and the limitations of street food vendors means we unfortunately cannot cater for every dietary restriction. Here's an honest appraisal for the tour so no-one is disappointed: ✘ Unsuitable for vegetarian diets sorry, as there would be 3-4 less tastings. ✔ Pork is used in 2-3 tastings with limited alternatives available, though the guest won't go hungry if this is your only restriction. ✖️ Unsuitable for severe allergies & halal, due to risk of traces & cross-contamination. ✔ Suitable for mild gluten and lactose intolerances, but we advise against ✖️ celiac disease, as there are traces of gluten in 4-5 tastings, including unavoidable soy sauce. We wanted an introduction to Lao food and Luang Prabang for our first full day, and this tour gave us that. Our guide, Mone, and trainee, Cam, were helpful in answering our questions along the way, making sure each spot was wiped down before we arrived, and introducing us to street food as well as dishes at local restaurants. All the food was good. We were given fair warning whenever something might be spicy (only the jeow, really, everything else you could add your own spice). I like that there was some walking for the first part, then we went by tuktuk to visit further spots as the morning got warmer.

This was an amazing experience for anyone wishing to learn more about the local food scene. Our guide Toun went above and beyond to give us the best overview of Lao cuisine and the most delicious dishes in town. I ended up with so many places and dishes on my list for the rest of my trip afterwards!

Great morning tour with very tasty food options. Our guide was excellent. Only regret was not doing it the first day (and eating dinner the night before - lots and lots of tasty food)!

This tour exceeded all of our expectations, and Latda was the heart of it. If you’re considering a tour in Laos, do not hesitate—having Latda as your guide will make your experience truly special and unforgettable. We are so grateful for her and will cherish these memories forever. We did both the morning and evening tours, both are incredible! The morning tour was our favorite!

Great introduction to Laotian food. Latda was an excellent guide, introducing my family to fantastic laotian food and where to find it. We did this tour shortly after arriving, and the exposure made the rest of our time in Luang Prabang more enjoyable, knowing better what we liked and where to get it. If you aren't already familiar with Laotian cuisine, I highly recommend adding this experience when you are in Luang Prabang.

Met Latda and Lay by the river at 8:30. Over the next 4 hours we tried countless different Lao foods, dishes. Every was explained in detail as we meandered around the markets, restaurants, and bakery. Can’t say what the highlight was, as everything was great. Maybe the old bakery. Also it was great to learn more about the history of Lao and how China is impacting Lao today. Highly recommend you skip breakfast on the day as you will really struggle to finish all the food.
