Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque stands out as one of the world’s largest mosques, and the only one that captures unique interactions between Islam and world cultures. Sheikh Zayed's vision for the Grand Mosque was to incorporate architectural styles from different Muslim civilizations and celebrate cultural diversity by creating a haven that is truly diverse and inspirational in its foundation. The mosque’s architects were British, Italian and Emirati, and design inspiration was borrowed parts of Turkey, Morocco, Pakistan, and Egypt among other Islamic countries, revealing a glistening architectural marvel with an astonishing capacity of 40,000 worshippers and visitors. The open-door policy invites tourists and celebrants from all around the world who can witness the spectacular onion-top domes, the reflective pools that engulf the courtyard and the iconic prayer hall, which not only overflows with blissful sunlight but also houses the world’s biggest chandelier and carpet, both meticulously handmade. Be sure to spot the calligraphy encircling the hollows of the domes, etched with verses from the Quran and painted with gold leaves in An-Naskh lettering.

5.00Very nice half day trip in Abu Dhabi. Our driver and guide Ansar did a great job in providing timely explanation and background on Abu Dhabi. He was excellent and knowledgeable and made our trip very enjoyable. Very recommended trip and guide.

5.00This was a great experience of touring Abu Dhabi. Ansar was a great guide and he showed us all the main sights. He provided a lot of history and great information along the way. The car ride was very comfortable and he was extremely professional. The Grand Mosque was the highlight of the tour and he even provided the cover up for my wife so she could visit the mosque based on the guidelines. I would highly recommend this tour and our guide Ansar if you want to see all the main sights in half a day.

5.00It was worth the price with driver Rahim. However, only the grand mosque and the date market were noteworthy. The emirates palace is just another super-luxury hotel and the heritage museum was not done properly (compared to living heritage museum of Bhutan).
No guide during this tour!

3.00There was no tour guide in this tour! We just had a tour driver. I was expecting a guide as well to explain the sites we were visiting, but there was none. The driver tried his best, but it was very disappointing.
We visited the Grand Mosque, Mandarin Hotel, Heritage Village, date markets and took photos of us which we appreciated.
