Ozkonak Underground City
The Cappadocia region boasts around 150-200 underground settlements of various sizes, constituting a valuable cultural heritage. This number is expected to grow, as many rock settlements are present in all towns and villages across the area. Most of these settlements were made by carving into soft tuff, forming deep caves. The primary motivation for building these underground cities was to ensure the safety of their inhabitants. The extensive networks of interconnected rooms and galleries, often called labyrinths, were designed to restrict the movement of potential invaders. Özkonak Underground City serves as a prime example of this architectural method. Entrance fee : 6 euro per person

5.00Meriç organized a wonderful 2 day private tour of Cappadocia, including the Underground City, Balloon tour and Airport pickup/drop for our family, including two children. The vehicle was comfortable and our guide, Mr Erdi, was wonderful. He totally took into account our interests and considerations, and adjusted the tour accordingly. The Balloon trip was seamlessly organized and was a magical experience. Definitely recommend Oyedo travels!

5.00It was a fantastic trip. I can only recommend it. The prices were good. Great value for money. The tours to the Open Air Museum and Monk's Valley Underground City were very informative and interesting. Unfortunately we couldn't do the balloon tour because of the wind. Otherwise everything was great.

5.00We had a fantastic experience in Cappadocia with the Oyedo team! The guide was really knowledgeable and helpful. He gave us many interesting facts about the region while giving us a tour. It was great to have the flexibility of arranging our schedule and having the tour at our own pace without rushing. Also, it was nice that the guide spoke Portuguese since my fiance is Brazilian. Definitely recommended!
