Visit the Heritage town of Surabaya with this Private day tour. we will pick you up from your hotel or cruise port and take you all around the town, stopping in traditional neighborhoods, historical places and cultural society of interests, with plenty of time to try out local food or shop in a local market.

We will be strolling down to historical and cultural destinations in Surabaya and we are going to figure out from Europe Quarter, Arabian Quarter, and Chinese Quarter. The duration of the tour is 4-5 hours.

This tour was a historo-cultural tour of Surabaya. My husband and I were on a one day stop from an Indonesia Cruise. Our Tour Guide was Rina. Rina communicated via WhatsApp to advise of where she was meeting us. Which was perfect because when we got off the ship, there were hundreds of people/taxi drivers touting for business. Rina was waiting at the designated area holding a sign with our name. Rina was friendly and approachable and took us to a clean, air conditioned vehicle where our driver Alfon was waiting. We were given bottles of water then Rina advised us where she would be guiding us to. Alfon drove us to each location, dropped us off and Rina walked us through each area, explaining all the interesting history. Alfon then picked us up to take us to the next area. We were guided through Old Surabaya, the Chinatown area, the Arabic Quarter with a big market and a Mosque. We were also guided through a Hindu Temple, a 19th Century Submarine which has been made into a monument, (we walked through the submarine) And finally we visited a Museum. Rina was very knowledgeable about the history of each location and was very able to answer all our questions. The whole tour was about 5 hours with a stop at a modern shopping centre for very good coffee and a bathroom break. Alfon returned us to the Port where we were initially picked up. I highly recommend this tour.

Elvira is a LOVELY guide! We had done quite a bit of research and she was able to take us through the Chinatown/Pabean Market/Arabian Market/Mosque answering all kinds of questions! Her English is superb, and she was so patient, answering all kinds of questions about the area. Traffic is very busy in this bit of the world, but our wait for our tour bus, a charming young man named T, was always less than 10 minutes, and always with another interesting tidbit. Elvira showed us how to eat the fruit correctly, helped me buy perfume, and quickly whisked us to the 2nd biggest mall in Indonesia when the weather turned to hard rain. We would 100% do this tour again and would ask for Elvira! She was the best!

This was a private tour with an English speaking guide and a driver. We were picked up at the cruise terminal. Communication was great, our guide, Ellen, introduced herself on Whatsapp and told us what we needed to know about meeting her two days before the tour. The driver was great, we felt safe in spite of the traffic. And the AC worked!! Ellen was flexible, we decided to skip a couple of stops because of the heat but we stayed s little longer at the museums. She even arranged for a private your at the Heroes museum that was very interesting. We got back to the shop in plenty of time.

Great to have a private air conditioned vehicle with driver and guide. Better than a bus getting on and off. The russian submarine was interesting but physically hardto get through the portholes.

We had a great day in Surabaya thanks to our wonderful guide, Pram, and our driver. The tour company did a superb job of confirming our tour and letting us know when and where our guide would meet us. When we arrived, Pram sent us a message and a picture so we could easily find her outside the cruise ship terminal. Our vehicle was comfortable and clean and could accommodate my husband’s wheelchair. Pram did an excellent job showing us around the city with a stop at all of the highlights. She is so knowledgeable, professional and very personable. I felt we had made a good friend at the end of the tour. She even suggested other places we could visit in Indonesia that she thought we would enjoy. I would highly recommend Pram and the company for a comprehensive tour and a delightful day.

Our guide was Elvira who did an amazing job. She tailored the trip to our needs and ensured we were back at the port to meet our cruise ship. Ray our driver was safe and steady and his local knowledge was invaluable to avoid traffic queues where possible. We had a lovely time and saw exactly what we wanted to.

The city tour took us to various places in Surabaya. Our friendly guide Nael guided us safely through traffic and had a clear story about history and contemporary life.
