  A special thank you to our tour guide, Pram, who made the entire experience even more memorable. Pram was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to everyone in the group. She explained the history and local culture in such an interesting and engaging way, and she was always ready to help with a smile. Her recommendations and helpful tips really made a difference throughout the day. We felt very well taken care of and learned so much while having a great time.   Our Guide was Vincent from TrippyTrip Tour along with an associate (driver). They provided their expertise for our Private Day Tour of Surabaya Historiculture. Their services were reasonably prised. We felt safe on our commute and had both a knowledgeble guide and driver. We visited the Submarine Monument, Surabaya City Square/Balai Pemuda, Sunan Ampel Great Mosque, traditional Fish Market Pabean, Surabaya Heroes Monument, Mirota Batik and Handicraft souvenirs shop and Kelenteng Sanggar Agung and 4 faces Budha. We passed by the Chinese sector as our safety was questionable. I would advise using Trippy Trip Tours as Surabaya is poor and knowledgeable tour guides such as Vincent, add to a safe visit.

  Elvia, our guide and Dede, our driver, worked very hard to accommodate our preferences for the attractions that we wanted to visit. Even had a stop at a local coffee shop to experience a true Indonesian coffee, per our wishes. They helped with menu/process to be sure we got the most out of our visit. Well done.

  Our guide was a very pleasant and courteous young man but unfortunately he didn't seem to have much knowledge of the sites he took us to and wasn't able to tell us much about anything we visited. Was a bit disappointing overall.

  An excellent tour with guide Fajar and driver Bima. They were knowledgeable, friendly and had a good sense of humour. Both had good English and were fun to be with.

  We really had a private tour with Zidney. He informed us very well about the different cultural groups and her life together. We visited various markets and temples as well as monuments and museums of the freedom struggle. He coordinates it very well with the rider Fauci , so we were picked up in the heat always promptly for the next stage. What not to tell ourselves today, also personal and private things, so that we also got a certain impression into family life. He also took beautiful souvenir photos that were sent to us via WhatsApp. Thanks for the eventful hours.

  This tour was a historo-cultural tour of Surabaya. My husband and I were on a one day stop from an Indonesia Cruise. Our Tour Guide was Rina. Rina communicated via WhatsApp to advise of where she was meeting us. Which was perfect because when we got off the ship, there were hundreds of people/taxi drivers touting for business. Rina was waiting at the designated area holding a sign with our name. Rina was friendly and approachable and took us to a clean, air conditioned vehicle where our driver Alfon was waiting. We were given bottles of water then Rina advised us where she would be guiding us to. Alfon drove us to each location, dropped us off and Rina walked us through each area, explaining all the interesting history. Alfon then picked us up to take us to the next area. We were guided through Old Surabaya, the Chinatown area, the Arabic Quarter with a big market and a Mosque. We were also guided through a Hindu Temple, a 19th Century Submarine which has been made into a monument, (we walked through the submarine) And finally we visited a Museum. Rina was very knowledgeable about the history of each location and was very able to answer all our questions. The whole tour was about 5 hours with a stop at a modern shopping centre for very good coffee and a bathroom break. Alfon returned us to the Port where we were initially picked up. • Surabaya with Elvira on a Budget

  Elvira is a LOVELY guide! We had done quite a bit of research and she was able to take us through the Chinatown/Pabean Market/Arabian Market/Mosque answering all kinds of questions! Her English is superb, and she was so patient, answering all kinds of questions about the area. Traffic is very busy in this bit of the world, but our wait for our tour bus, a charming young man named T, was always less than 10 minutes, and always with another interesting tidbit. Elvira showed us how to eat the fruit correctly, helped me buy perfume, and quickly whisked us to the 2nd biggest mall in Indonesia when the weather turned to hard rain. We would 100% do this tour again and would ask for Elvira! She was the best!

• Surabaya Tour

  This was a private tour with an English speaking guide and a driver. We were picked up at the cruise terminal. Communication was great, our guide, Ellen, introduced herself on Whatsapp and told us what we needed to know about meeting her two days before the tour. The driver was great, we felt safe in spite of the traffic. And the AC worked!! Ellen was flexible, we decided to skip a couple of stops because of the heat but we stayed s little longer at the museums. She even arranged for a private your at the Heroes museum that was very interesting. We got back to the shop in plenty of time.
