  Great to have a private air conditioned vehicle with driver and guide. Better than a bus getting on and off. The russian submarine was interesting but physically hardto get through the portholes.

  We had a great day in Surabaya thanks to our wonderful guide, Pram, and our driver. The tour company did a superb job of confirming our tour and letting us know when and where our guide would meet us. When we arrived, Pram sent us a message and a picture so we could easily find her outside the cruise ship terminal. Our vehicle was comfortable and clean and could accommodate my husband’s wheelchair. Pram did an excellent job showing us around the city with a stop at all of the highlights. She is so knowledgeable, professional and very personable. I felt we had made a good friend at the end of the tour. She even suggested other places we could visit in Indonesia that she thought we would enjoy. I would highly recommend Pram and the company for a comprehensive tour and a delightful day.

  Our guide was happy to be flexible with things we wanted to see. She and our driver very friendly with very good English. The vehicle was very clean and comfortable.

  Our guide was Elvira who did an amazing job. She tailored the trip to our needs and ensured we were back at the port to meet our cruise ship. Ray our driver was safe and steady and his local knowledge was invaluable to avoid traffic queues where possible.   The city tour took us to various places in Surabaya. Our friendly guide Nael guided us safely through traffic and had a clear story about history and contemporary life.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this city and much of that had to do with our guide and driver who showed us the real Surabaya from a locals perspective. Many thanks to Fajar and Bima - they make such a great team. This city was surprising, expecting it to be loud and dirty and underwhelming but they made it exciting and interesting and a lot of fun even in 102 degree weather. Nice cool car and clean and comfy.   We just had an amazing tour guide named Pramesti. The lady and the driver were just fantastic. Showed us around the sites we wanted to see and were so accommodating. We had an awesome experience. Thanks so much Pramesti and driver. Traffic is scaring in Surabaya but the driver was just fantastic. Well done and highly recommended. 🫶🏽

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Great price for a private car... but very little information

  We booked this Surabaya city tour directly with the vendor (paying in local currency on arrival) for our private tour of 3 people. The people handling email we very helpful and responsive and even allowed us to add a mosque to the itinerary as a change. Our guide was a nice young college student who responded quickly on Whatsapp and picked us up on time in a very nice car with excellent air conditioning and a separate driver. One of the planned sites was closed on the day of our visit (no one advised us of this until we asked about it during the tour). The guide was friendly and would briefly respond to direct questions (sometimes using Google on her phone) but otherwise had no tour talk or basic information to share. As a result, a lot of time in the car was spent in complete silence - even if we pointed something out as we drove and said "I wonder what that is?"... the guide said nothing. Honestly, I'm not sure she had ever been to some of these places AT ALL, and definitely hasn't led this tour before as when I asked her about places that were in the official itinerary, she would say "Oh that is a good idea." When we went to the museum, she didn't know how to find the entrance. At a temple, we asked how old it was and she said "very old"... and we followed up with "any idea on the year?" and she said "early 1980s" hahaha. Look, the tour is a great bargain price and it was very nice to have a private car and a local who could speak the language to escort us.... but this was less an informative "tour" than a private car with an escort. We voluntarily ended the your a little early and with some nice pictures and interesting sights seen... but little learned about the city history and the people who live here. Anyhow, perhaps we just got a new guide on a busy day with the cruise ship in port.
