On this 8-hour roundtrip from Bergen, you will witness the amazing variety of the Western Norway's scenery! Lush forests, fjords, rushing mountain rivers and waterfalls, magnificent highland landscape and, of course, the Folgefonna glacier. This is a private tour only for you and your party - in a comfortable vehicle with a local driver-guide. Choose from 3 options: 1) Basic package, 2) Tour with a picnic basket for 3, and 3) Tour with a lunch basket for 7. This tour starts and ends in Bergen centre.

Car on this tour is one of our Mercedes minivans. When only 1-3 people are going on this tour, we may use our Tesla Model X. All of our cars have Passenger Transport Licence.

Our tour starts in the city of Bergen - the Gateway to the Fjords. The city was founded in 1070 and contains many historical and cultural landmarks. We will pass some of them on our way from the city and also on our return to Bergen. (Usually we do not stop here.)

Osteroy Municipality

Sørfjorden or the South fjord is part of the Osterfjord which is a peculiar natural phenomenon: an salt water inlet that surrounds the largest inland island in Northern Europe - Osterøy Island - enclosed by contitental land. We drive along the South fjord until we come the the crossroads in Trengereid.

Our family was in Bergen for just a few days and we wanted to maximize our stay with a visit to the glacier. We booked this trip with Vlad who was an exceptional guide/driver. His communication prior to our visit was professional and responsive and helped us plan our time efficiently. His knowledge of Bergen and Norway was exceptional and his heartfelt love of Norway was wonderful. During our trip he enthusiastically pointed out stunning scenery and personalized our trip so we could stop and take photos while also keeping us on schedule since he was so familiar with the country. He made this such an exceptional day for our family and went well out of his way to make this such a special trip for which we are grateful.

Our day with Vlad was the highlight of our visit in Norway. He was a great guide, driver and talented photographer! We saw so many beautiful, non-touristy places! Don’t hesitate booking a day trip with him!

Vlad was great and very knowledgeable. We booked a private tour to see waterfalls and Folgefonna Glacier. The waterfalls were so beautiful and the ferry rides were so interesting. The landscape was amazing going up to Folgefonna. Even though the clouds were low and it was rainy, it was still a great day. Vlad made up for the weather by taking us to places just as beautiful that were not affected by the weather. He was very good at maximizing our time so that we got to enjoy every moment we had on our limited time off the ship. Excellent tour company! Don H

This well ran tour was more than advertised, Omar our well spoken quite looked after us , drove carefully and brought us to awesome spots and on a magical , words or photos could not do justice to what you get to see. Like a movie set that goes on forever. The waterfalls were spectacular after the rain .5star Omar . 5star tour good value .

We had this tour in a cloudy, rainy day. However, we still had fun & were able to explore areas around Bergen. We saw the waterfalls, visited the glacier, and stopped by very nice sceneries. The tour guide was very helpful & nice as well. It was a great experience.
