  It should really be titled tour of Fes Medina as that's all we saw. Nothing else of Fes. Actually very disappointed

  I wish I could give more stars because this was above and beyond any expectations! Ahmed is genuinely a great guy, he was very professional with an incredible amount of information but was so friendly that it always felt like a nice conversation between friends. We did A LOT of walking (which is exactly what we wanted) to pack in many sites. We stopped in various shops that showed us how artisan products were made (rugs, leather items, bronze jewelry etc.) and while the owners there obviously wanted to make a sale, they more wanted to speak with pride about the history and culture behind each thing. And yes we did end up purchasing some quality souvenirs. But Ahmed was great because he gave us many choices for what we wanted to do, which historical sites would be of interest, (willingly took our picture over and over again haha) and he always had a smile on his face! Definitely recommend!!!

  Our guide was there on time and took us through the Medina and took us along . The beginning was a bit slow and life advice heavy. We enjoyed the lunch place the guide took us to and we purchased scarves and a leather jacket. We would have liked more information and better tailoring to our needs (we wanted to go to the tannery but he took us to the carpet store). Merci Mr Najib!

• The best option to know this maze

  The Medina of Fes is a maze and without this tour I wouldn't have been able to enjoy this city full of hidden treasures. We booked the night before and were afraid that the tour would no longer be possible. Mr Ahmad sent a message the next morning to say that he was no longer available, but he promptly sent a colleague of his (Mr Nourdine) so that we could have this experience! The visit went very well and was very rich. Mr Nourdine is already well known in the city and offered us private guided tours of various places (tanneries, workshops where legitimate handicrafts are produced, etc). The tour has the option of including lunch. Be aware that if you choose the option without lunch and the guide asks if you want lunch, you should expect to pay for the guide's lunch as well (in our case around 150MAD). However, lunch was at a really good restaurant and was affordable for its quality (150-200MAD/person) and also an opportunity to talk a bit more with our guide and get to know Fes and Moroccan culture better. It was great that the guide picked us up from the Riad and dropped us off at the end of the tour!

  Extremely knowledgeable guide who is passionate about Fes and Morocco He explains the history and culture and takes trouble to take you to the best artisans with no pressure to buy
