Chefchaouen Medina
Chefchaouen, or Chaouen, is a city in the Rif Mountains of northwest Morocco. It’s known for the striking, blue-washed buildings of its old town. Leather and weaving workshops line its steep cobbled lanes. In the shady main square of Place Outa el Hammam is the red-walled Kasbah, a 15th-century fortress and dungeon, and Chefchouen Ethnographic Museum. The octagonal minaret of the Great Mosque rises nearby.

5.00It was a great experience especially considering the price point. The guide, Abdelhadi, relayed information and did an excellent job in making sure we received coordination info (especially those who were changing busses to different final destinations). The driver, Hassan, drove well and was timely. Overall, it was a beautiful small city with a lot of history which the guides did a good job in relaying.

2.00The driver was okay. The primary guide was horrible. He was unfriendly, did not inform us, and did not allow us a different drop-off location than the pickup place. Furthermore, he was unprofessional; at some point, he simply disappeared without saying goodbye. The guide in Chefchaouen was okay. During the trip, the guides used too many languages (switching between languages excessively), which wasted time and made the communication confusing and inefficient.

5.00The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions . The city is beautiful and food is traditional and good. I recommend the Tagine, cooked well and lower risk of getting sick .The ride there is long and the driver took some risks, but that is the way they drive in Morocco.

5.00Excellent experience, Moha and his partner were very nice to the group, the day was rainy and the driver was very careful and good driver. They were always giving advices and taking care of the group. It was good trip. The agencia contacted with romero confirm, we were satisfied with the trip. The guide who leads us through the Medina was patient and gave enough explinantions.

5.00Abdul was an absolutely wonderful guide! From start to finish, he made our walking tour memorable with his deep knowledge, warm personality, and great sense of humor. He was incredibly informative, sharing fascinating insights at every stop, yet always made the group feel relaxed and welcomed. His hospitality and friendly approach created such a comfortable atmosphere, and his storytelling brought the history and culture of the area to life. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. 4.00For our long day, we had an excellent, safe driver (Moha), who did a terrific job getting us there and back. He was friendly, multilingual, upbeat, and imparted information very well. We enjoyed seeing the countryside between Fes and Chefchaouen, and having a couple of rest stops along the way. Old Chefchaouen was a lovely experience. We enjoyed our free time. It would help if the tour company could identify a WC there. The only WC’s we could find near there were rodent-ridden or beyond dirty. Our guide knew a lot but would stop the group and pretty much talk to one person by standing less than a foot away and it was rather uncomfortable. The vehicle was good for the most part, but one passenger had a non-working seatbelt and a few complained of seatbelt or seat issues that made 2x4h tough on them. The retracting step was faulty, therefore unsafe, so the van needs a step stool for the elderly. Personally, I would rather have had 1 hour less free time and got back to Fes before dark. We enjoyed our day!

4.00The tour met my expectations. It was run as described, a 3-4 hour ride from Fes, 3-4 hours in Chefchaouen, then the ride back. It is a long day, but the bus was comfortable, the A/C worked and rest stops were helpful with refreshments and bathroom stops. A local guide in Chefchaouen gave us a good overview of the town and its history for about an hour, after which we were free to explore on our own (the tour guide tour was optional). Our bus guide and town guide were helpful and informative.

5.00Loved the day trip. Drive was a bit long but glad we did it as a tour. Our local town guide was wonderful! Beautiful town, very worth all the effort to see it.
