This half day tour of about 3-4 hours, gives you a first impression of the major points of interest of the island. The tour is perfect for those who only stay a short time in Faial and do not want to miss anything.

The tour leads you along the southern coast from Horta to the volcano of Capelinhos with a number of stops in between. On the way back we will take a minor road high above the villages. Depending on the weather conditions, you will either visit the Caldeira or some view points above Horta.

Guide very friendly, very interesting. He knows a lot about the island of Faial and even the other islands of the archipelago although he is not from here.He is passionate. We had a great time and had an overview of Faial and Horta Thank you Andreas

We did an excellent half day tour with Andreas. He's extremely knowledgeable about the island and a wonderful guide. He provided us with so much historical information, as well as information about life on the island. The island has a lot of variety. There were plenty of opportunities for photos and we never felt rushed. He also brought sandwiches, beer, and water, which we really appreciated! Highly recommended!

Best tour in Faial. Get to know all the spots with a friendly local. The sandwiches aren't bad either :) highly recommended

We were a family of 5 adults visiting the Azores for the first time. We booked a Full Day Private Tour of Faial and a Full day Private Tour of Pico with Visit Faial. Andreas was our guide. He picked us at our hotel promptly at the appointed time on both days. Andreas drove us around the island in his van, stopping to visit the places we had requested as well as the ones Andreas had suggested. On the second day he picked us up at our hotel again, drove us to the ferry and we all took the ferry to Pico for our second full day tour. He has a wealth of infortmation about the island which provided great background to what we were seeing. On both days we visited all the places we had requested and more as well. We enjoyed a picnic lunch with him on both days and he also had a basket with water and snacks for us in his van. The lunches were made by his wife and they were delicious. Andreas was fluent in English and he made our visit a very memorable one. He was dependable, friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, polite, a good driver and an all round excellent tour guide! Recommend him 100%! He definitely went the extra mile.

I can only say that it was a great experience. Not only were sights shown, but life on the island was also discussed in detail. Just great.

Our private tour with Andreas was just perfect. We can’t believe how many beautiful sights we saw in such a short amount of time. Andreas is very knowledgeable and engaging. He made us feel very comfortable. Highly recommend taking a tour with Andreas while you are in the Azores, it is worth every penny!

We are happy that we found such a great service. Andreas is a very good tour guide- dhows the island and talks excitingly about island history and geological phenomena. We made a half- day tour, but there are lot to see and would be wise to choose a day tour. Extra points for homemade sandwiches!
