Set out on a short drive to the Kampong Phluk Fishing Village. You’ll enjoy countryside views, a Buddhist temple, and a primary school, and visit the village Market you will see the everyday life of the villagers. Then take a short Boat cruise through the Fishing village and Mangrove trees to the beautiful Tonle Sap Lake, the second-largest freshwater lake in the world. We’ll stop at a floating House to view the scenery surroundings. Next up, you’ll wander through the Village to see the daily activities of the villagers there. You’ll see the Houses built on high stilts, children are playing people are cooking, and other spontaneous activities. This traditional village life has remained largely unchanged for centuries.

This is a mixed activity trip “All in One Journey” and will keep everyone enjoying the new experiences & great insight into the culture & history of Cambodia.

You will also stop to visit a local market situated on the Bank of Rolous river. Rolous market is one of the important markets where the local villagers go there in the morning and late afternoon to purchase fresh vegetables, meats, fruit, freshwater fish as well as household items. Kampong Phlouk is a great destination for tourists to visit the flooded Mangrove trees and forests, and floating villages. Visit the beautiful Tonle Sap, the lake is the 2nd largest freshwater lake in the world. This lake is the lifeblood of the country and the primary source of fish and protein for most of the Cambodian population. Visit the flooded forest and floating villages. The trip was really interesting. As well as the village, we visited a local market and had a boat ride on the lake, visiting a crocodile farm. Our guide told us lots about Cambodia, local life and the importance of the lake to the 1.3 million people who live around it. I would highly recommend this trip.

Excellent tour with Arun as a guide. Extremely informative. Pick up from hotel was smooth and on time, car was great and the stops on the way at local small town markets, a great insight. The stilt village and boat trip exceeded expectations.

We made a late booking just evening before the morning tour. Were very happy to have an available slot. Website booking was easy and confirmation was clear. Pickup from hotel was fussfree and very punctual. Our guide: Mr Sim Sokoan was very patient and thorough. He explained clearly what the half day trip was and the timings to expect. The trip is really value for money. This was one of the most reasonable rates, and we were so surprised that it was a private tour for only 2 of us! Definitely recommend using Journey2angkor through Viator.
Very nice visit at a local market, floated village and mangrove forest. Very intelligent tour guide. Highly recommend.

The private tour was fantastic. The tour guide speaks fluent english and tells a lot of interesting facts. We could ask him anything about Cambodia. There were no other tourists at the local market. We tasted different types of fruit. In the tuktuk was free cool water. The floated village was very beautifull and it was interesting to walk around the not floated part aswell. Highly recommend.

We had a great time with our local guide who led us with pride through the beautifull countryside, local market, flooded mangrove forest and the floating villages by Siem Reap. In clear English he informed us on the seasonal changes in the landscape, the importance of tourism for these local people and general Cambodian history and life style. We visited a local market where we tasted delicious fruits and a school where we where greated by the 2nd and 3th grade students. I would really recommend this tour to expand your knowledge on Cambodia and to relax in the magnificent country side.
