If you’re in Medellín and looking for an authentic horseback riding experience, then this is the right tour for you.
This horse ride is exclusively offered by LandVenture Travel since no other tour company has access to this farm. The ride takes place at a big cattle ranch located almost two hours southwest of Medellín.
We will have some great Colombian coffee upon arrival and start enjoying jaw-dropping Andean scenery. Safety briefing and horse-back riding tips will take place before getting on the horses. We will try to pair you with the right horse for your experience level. We use well-fed and well-treated working horses and even mules depending on availability.
During the ride, we will go across streams and remnants of tropical dry forest with 100-feet tall trees, giant bamboos and hopefully, spot some interesting native birds, besides lots of cattle.
Your English-speaking guide will be with you at all times.
After having a traditional farm lunch we will return to Medellín.

This unique horse ride requires an almost 2-hour drive southwest of Medellin, Colombia. The ride itself takes about two hours through a big cattle ranch that neighbors the smaller farm where the ride starts and ends. 5.00Andres is a great guide. In addition to the ride on the cattle ranch, we went to Jardin and conception. It was awesome to see the countryside and all the birds. I had a great time and I felt very safe and happy that Andres was my guide. I highly recommend him and all the trips I took. Next time, though I’ll bring an empty suitcase so I could buy more pottery.

5.00We had the best day with Andres. He was so professional and knowledgeable. We got picked up from our accommodation and stopped for breakfast on the way to bolombolo for traditional arepas. At the farm, we were greeted with local Colombian coffee prepared by the cowboys wife, who later cooked us a delicious and plentiful lunch after horse riding and before being dropped back to Medellin. The ride itself was an incredible experience. The views are spectacular and you can’t get enough of them. The 2 hour route covered galloping through fields, crossing little streams in forests and exploring the flora and fauna of the Andes. Andres took loads of pictures of us and shared those with us. Would highly recommend this experience as it easily became one of our favourite memories.

5.00This trip has been the highlight of Columbia. Andres is the perfect host with so much knowledge & perfect English. The scenery was breath taking and to do it all on horse back it meant we got to places we would not have seen otherwise. The horse's were beautiful & well looked after too.

5.00Excellent experience! Transportation was very complimentary and comfortable. Andres was very friendly, answered all our questions and gave us very complete information about the excursion, fauna and flora of the region. The ride is spectacular with an amazing view. Lunch was delicious. In short, I recommend this experience to nature lovers.

5.00We have been traveling around Colombia for the past two weeks for our honeymoon. One thing we were eager to do was a horseback ride in the countryside. Wow, this certainly did not disappoint. We were mind-blown by the incredible views we saw. The horses were easy to ride, and we were able to even get some cantering in over the course of the 2-hour ride, capping it off with a delicious lunch. I can't forget to mention Andres, who was an amazing host. He truly made the whole occasion all the more special and unique for us, as well as being incredibly informative. Thank you, Andres, for what has to be one of our favorite days of our honeymoon. I can’t recommend this trip more highly.

5.00Andres of land venture travels was an excellent guide for both horseback riding and in the city of Medellin. I highly recommend booking, horseback, riding and city tours with Andres. He provides excellent opportunities and commentaries. I’m definitely going back. He was also very considerate about planning parallel activities for my husband and me. My husband has some mobility problems, but Andres was able to accommodate his needs as well as engaging with me.
