A thrilling Ice Climbing experience with a professional photographer guide. This tour includes 5 professionally edited photos.

The Ice Climbing Captured experience is for you. We will adventure through the deep crevasses of Sólheimajökull while taking in some exceptional sights that this glacier has to offer.

In regards to our instruction on ice, our day will start with a basic introduction to how to walk on ice and a basic climbing technique called front pointing. We will combine these two two techniques and with a very mellow ice climbing wall, we will put those skills to the test. Once you are confident, we will progress to different walls which offer various challenges until you are totally satisfied.

Then, at the end of your tour, we will edit your photos and you will get a photo package within 14 days as the perfect souvenir to remember your epic adventure!

In order to operate this tour we need 2 passengers minimum.

Please email your Ice Climbing experience level to [email protected] after booking: Beginner (never been on the ice before), Intermediate or Advanced. We ask for this, so we can pair you with the perfect guide.

Please email [email protected] your hiking boots size if required.

Photos are edited and sent approximately 14 days after your tour.

The minimum age is 8 in the summer and 10 in the winter.

Amazing experience. Our guide was super nice and helped me and my friend achieve all our ice climbing goals. The photos he took came out amazing, and it was all around the highlight of our trip to Iceland. I can’t wait to go back and try another excursion with them!

This was hands-down one of our favourite experiences ever. Mike is an amazing guide - before we booked he reached out to us and very kindly answered all of our questions over the phone and left us feeling confident that we’ll be in good hands for our first ice-climb. When we got to Iceland, everything from the meet-up to the glacier hike was well organised, and we just had so much fun getting to know Mike as a person. It was clear to us how much passion he has for the glaciers and we were touched by his energy and stories. His ice-climbing instruction was also amazing - very beginner friendly and he was very patient with making sure we had the right technique to stay safe on the ice. We ended up climbing some pretty crazy crevasses at the end of the day, and the rush of adrenaline was not like anything we’ve experienced before. The photos we got after the climb were also amazing. We got engaged in Iceland and used this opportunity to do an engagement shoot, and Mike was more than patient with directing us to make sure we got the best photos and even some sick drone footage. If you’re hesitating this is your sign to book now. You will not regret it and will probably fall in love with the ice the same way we did after a day out with Mike.
