5.00The excursions from our cruise ship were all sold out, so we tried this private tour and were blown away. Our guide found us immediately when we landed on the dock in this little coastal town, and our day was beyond expectations as we explored this magical peninsula. We visited well know sights that one sees all over the internet, but they were so much more impressive in person. Our guide, Baldvin (who spoke excellent English and fluent German) took us to places unexpected and spectacular. Not only was he very familiar with the entire peninsula, he had stories for every waterfall, cove, volcano, sea stack and beach that we visited. I am an amateur photographer, and I captured scenes far more mesmerizing and surprising than I had dreamed. We were blessed with wonderful weather, but the place has a power and beauty it is hard to describe and I would imagine the spell it casts is always remarkable .
