Join our local guide for a relaxed and insightful private walk through Delft’s old city center — where Vermeer once roamed, the Dutch royals found their final resting place, and centuries-old canals, churches and market squares still set the scene.
The tour begins in the market square, flanked by the grand City Hall and the tall Nieuwe Kerk, where you’ll learn why Delft became one of the most important cities in Dutch history. Along the way, we’ll pass many old houses, quiet canals, local pubs, and hidden gems, with plenty of stories about famous scientists, painters, and princes who shaped this town and the whole country.
Then after a short transfer, you will enter Royal Delft — the only remaining 17th-century pottery factory still making authentic Delft Blue. You’ll walk through the museum and factory floor, see the painters at work, and discover how this iconic product became one of the Netherlands’ most prized exports.

1.00Your guide never showed. We waited 30 minutes Tried calling tour operator who didn’t pick up. Eventually got through to Viator. We were issued a refund. Tour operator eventually picked up. Guide apparently went to wrong loca

5.00The tour was great. The guide, Billie, was outstanding and showed us everything we wanted to see and more. The solo portion to the Royal Delft museum was great. The self guided tour was extremely informative and enjoyable.
