5.00My husband and I did turtle snorkeling in Akulum and a Ceynotes cave swim excursion. Our tour guide, Mimi, was friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging. We were with a small group of 10 people. We saw turtles and other sea life in the Akulum Bay although there were a lot of groups and it was a little crowded which made the water a little murky. Really enjoyed the swim in the Ceynotes. Learned a lot about Mayan culture and it was a great experience overall!

5.00We had a great experience. Our fabulous guide, Xenia, picked us up right on time and got us to Akumal beach right after it opened. After a short boat ride out to the reef we were treated to amazing views of 5 Green Turtles, some squid, 3 stingrays and various gorgeous fish. Getting there early was key, as the beach became more and more crowded as the day went on. I can't say enough about Xenia, she was awesome! She is the kind of person I could have sat and had a beer with. We sprung for the photo package and they are fabulous and worth the money.

5.00We booked the private tour right through Viator, we really waited until the last minute, but as so glad we went. Our guide Xenia arrived at our resort right on time and was so personable I think I would have enjoyed having a drink with her after the tour :). We arrived at Akumal beach right as it opened so it was not very crowded. There was a 5 minute boat ride out to the reef and then we were right in the water. The clarity of the water was phenomenal at first but it went downhill as the water became more and more crowded. We saw at least 5 green turtles, some squid, 3 sting rays and many other beautiful fish. Xenia made sure we had a wonderful experience. We did purchase the picture package, which although was a bit pricey we couldn't pass up the documentation of this amazing experience. The photographer, Daniel, did a wonderful job. I also was able to document some of it with my own gopro. I'm so glad we did it! It ended up being my daughter's favorite part of the trip.

5.00Niko did a fantastic job showing us the Sea Turtles and Stingrays, he was very descriptive when explaining things and we were able to enjoy ourselves stress free. The driver and photographer were also great! The Cenote was also a highlight! We can't wait to come back!
