Experience the majestic beauty of the Atlas Mountains and its waterfalls over a tasty homemade lunch, Discover the Tahnouat, Asni, and Imlil valleys in one unforgettable day. On this Small group day trip, you will take in the sights, sounds, and tastes of traditional Berber villages and you will a women's argan oil cooperative. This day trip truly has it all. We will pick you up from your hotel at 9:00 am and bring you back at 5:00 pm. in this small group day trip, you have the flexibility to choose the duration of your walk. The transportation will be provided for people who do not want to walk.
If you come on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you'll have the chance to visit a local farmers' market.

Leave the city behind and discover some of Morocco s wildest and most breathtaking scenery on this full-day, multi-faceted tour. After pickup from your hotel or the meeting point at 9:00 am, you will be driven from Marrakech only an hour and a half to the heart of the Atlas Mountains.
High Atlas
At our first stop, we will take pictures against the backdrop of the scenic Azrou village and visit a women’s argan cooperative where you will enjoy some Moroccan tea and taste fresh argan oil before the ladies explain how to make argan oil from argan nuts. Then we will continue our drive to the Atlas Mountains where our walking adventure will begin. We will pass through the quaint Berber villages dotted throughout the Imlil Valley--stopping as frequently as you like to rest and take photos-- then enjoy a lunch prepared lovingly in the traditional Moroccan way by a local family. Afterwards, we will walk past the picturesque waterfalls before we meet our driver. After this fun-packed day, we will make our way back to Marrakech for a 4:30 pm arrival.

5.00The walk to the waterfall was beautiful. Through back paths. The initial part of the walk is pretty steep. Lunch was totally delicious and authentic! The best lentil soup ever! Was so beautiful to see the gorgeous scenery the people live in. Our guide Mustapha was informative, polite, and helpful. He shared info and knowledge about the Amazigh people. Was so interesting! Would def recommend this tour.

5.00We had a brilliant day with our guide Abdou. The views were fantastic as we drove towards the Atlas Mountains from busy Marrakesh. It was really interesting to hear and see how family life is in the Berber villages, everyone we met were friendly and welcoming. The highlight of the day was lunch in the home of our lovely host Neena, her food was delicious. Abdou was a very friendly and informative guide. Overall it was a great day and I’d definitely recommend to others.

5.00The experience is so warm and authentic, Elhoussain made sure that we didn’t need anything, he showed us around in his own village, and the lunch at his family home up in the mountain is like no other, thank you sooo much and will make sure to book this if we ever come again.

5.00We had such an amazing day with El-Houssain, he is a knowledgeable man with a great character who was born and raised on the mountain! We learned a lot and enjoyed casual conversations with the guide. We then had lunch at his house which was absolutely wonderful! Best of luck Houssain!

5.00We had a fantastic day with Ibrahim as our guide. We wanted to hike a fair amount and he was very accommodating to our preferences which is the benefit of a private tour. The mountains and waterfalls were beautiful and lunch in the guesthouse was lovely. Definitely recommend!

5.00Fantastic experience on a 2 day hike with Hamid - the scenery was stunning, the food was delicious, and Hamid couldn’t have been better as a guide - couldn’t recommend this more (I’ve already passed this recommendation on to a friend!)

5.00This was the most fabulous day out. We were collected by our driver, Soufiane, from the hotel. The camel ride and mint tea was a great experience and then we went on to the argan oil cooperative where we were provided with delicious samples. We couldn’t resist buying some of their products. Then to the trek in the mountains. Oh my! Our guide, Hamid, was so knowledgeable and so patient with me (we were lucky enough to go when there was some snow on the ground and I’m not the most stable!). We had lunch in his house with fabulous food and stunning scenery and were lucky enough to meet some of his family. We cannot recommend this experience highly enough

5.00We had the best time with Hameed on the Private Valley and Atlas Mountain Tour! From the start, he was so kind, helpful, and made us feel right at home. The mule ride through the stunning mountains was such a fun and unique experience. Visiting the Amazigh villages was truly eye-opening. Hameed shared so much about their culture and way of life, and it was incredible to connect with the people and learn about their traditions. What really made the day special was visiting Hameed’s home. His family welcomed us so warmly, and his mother’s cooking was incredible—easily the best meal we had in Morocco! Hameed’s passion and genuine care for his guests made this tour unforgettable. If you’re in Marrakech, this is a must-do! Thank you, Hameed, for an amazing experience!
