You will learn the modern history of Southampton accompanied by a Ph.D. historian* and tour guide. The experience practices mindful tourism which means to help you understand how the community you are visiting is impacted by you and history.
*Since 2021 our company has grown and although Lillian delivers the majority of the tours there are other guides on the team. They have been trained by her and have a background as teachers/historians/history students at the university.

5.00GREAT Private Walking Tour of Southampton on Sept 15, 2025!! Our Tour Guide, Sam was excellent and very knowledgeable about Southampton's history; which he shared with us during our walk-about. We were a group of 2; so, this was truly a "private" tour. Thanks again for a great Southampton tour!! And thanks Viator for making it very easy to book especially with the "reserve now pay later" option.
