The tour begins base nearby the Mýrdalsjökull glacier in South Iceland. We start by going over the tour plan and safety instructions. From the base we cross some small rivers and head down to the black lava sands fields which derives from the dormant volcano Katla. Down by the black beach we stop and enjoy the amazing view up to the Mýrdalsjökull glacier and along the coast to the southernmost part of Iceland, the small peninsula Dyrhólaey. We then head along the coast to the famous aircraft wreck, from there we continue to the river Jökulsá and up to the foot of the mountain. Upon our return we follow the mountain back to the base. The ATV experience itself lasts approximately 2 hours. You will ride 2 people per ATV, with one driving and one as a passenger. If you are traveling alone, or in an odd-numbered group (3, 5, 7 etc.) there is an additional charge payable locally for single riders. The adventure will provide stunning photo opportunities in good weather, so don't forget to bring your camera! You will be provided with everything you need for a safe and comfortable ride. No ATV experience is required to take part and the skill level for this activity is deemed as 'easy'.

This was a great experience and a very well-organized tour. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Our guide, Paul, was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He explained how the black sand beach was formed, shared the history behind the two plane wrecks in the area, and made the whole ride both fun and informative. Paul also helped us take photos along the way, which we really appreciated — the views were incredible, and it was great to have those memories captured. Highly recommend this ATV tour if you want an exciting, safe, and educational way to explore the black sand beach!

10/10 it exceeded my expectations! Our guide Pawel did an amazing job at keeping everyone safe and still lots of excitement crossing rivers and driving through snow. Would recommend to do this tour if you come to Iceland!

It was a fantastic experience. Our guide (Hinrik Orri Thorsson) was really nice. We took our time at the different spots but where going fast with the quads. It was fun. He also explained a lot of things very well. Well worth the money. Fully recommend doing.

Great experience for the whole family. The ATVs were well maintained and the tour was unreal, like you are on another planet. The black sand beaches were not just a check the box thing, it was a truly unique experience. Our guide, Jordy, was very professional and made sure everything was fun and safe. This was a highlight of our trip to Iceland.

Good reception, clear explanation and off we go. I could still enjoy the beautiful surroundings in the beginning, gradually it became more challenging. Beach was beautiful but also a bit exciting. Jordy gives his guidance enough confidence to negotiate the somewhat rougher terrain and crossing. Finally had a fantastic morning.

We had an amazing time on our quad tour: it was exciting, thrilling and peaceful all at the same time. Our guide Jordy was super helpful and made sure everything went smoothly and safely. The scenery was stunning and the guide’s knowledge of the area added an extra layer to the experience.

We had a very nice quad trip through the impressive landscape of Iceland. The guide was very friendly and gave clear explanations, both about driving and about the area. Fun and interesting to learn so much along the way. Definitely recommended!
