At our next stop, travelers will indulge in a delicious empanada of their choice—either morocho or verde (green plantain). A morocho empanada is made from a special Andean white corn, giving it a unique texture and slightly sweet flavor. They can customize their empanada with a filling of cheese, chicken, or beef, all perfectly crispy on the outside and flavorful inside. This tasty bite is paired with a cup of Ecuador’s finest coffee from Zaruma, known as one of the best in the world.
