My husband and I had an unforgettable experience with Pura Vida Tours, exploring Rio Celeste and a privately-owned sloth sanctuary. Our guide, Marlene, made the day truly exceptional. Her deep knowledge of Costa Rica’s nature and ecosystem brought the rainforest to life, teaching us about the diverse animals and plants that call it home. Marlene took the time to thoroughly explain everything, making it both informative and engaging. She even introduced us to authentic Costa Rican cuisine, adding to the richness of the day. The highlight was visiting the sloth sanctuary, where we got up close to a baby sloth—an absolutely adorable moment! Marlene’s attention to safety and her careful driving put us at ease. I highly recommend this tour for an amazing and well-rounded Costa Rican adventure.

From pick up, to the sloths, to the waterfall, everything about this day exceeded our expectations. The hike is not easy but very doable. Don’t wear white shoes or flip flops! Our guide, Jorge, was so knowledgeable and kind. We could not have asked for a better guide.

I’ve been to Costa Rica twice and Claudio is my go-to for transport and tours. He and his girlfriend are fantastic tour guides and have made both trips a great experience for me. He always makes sure you eat well and get the most out of the day. Fantastic animal-spotter and always has deep knoweledge of the animals in various forests. He is a good friend and I’ll continue to use him every time I visit. He’ll even take you on little side quests to get Chorizos or drinks, he’s awesome.

Claudio and other guides were very knowledgeable and super friendly. He was always available to communicate with. Very professional and punctual. Most tours are more expensive however they are very reasonable and more personable.
