This is a true aurora hunting tour led by a professional photographer who's photos have been viewed millions of times on social media! Starting from Rovaniemi with a flexible start time, we will drive to a location where the weather models have determined that we will have the best chance of seeing the aurora. Whether it’s half an hour away or deep into Swedish Lapland, I want to see the aurora as much as you do so I’ll make sure to get there!

Once we have located clear skies and aurora, it’s time to enjoy the show and take document all the magic with with my high quality mirrorless cameras and astrophotography lenses. All good photos taken on the night are provided to you at print quality within 2 doys of the tour.

The hero of the night! If you will chase the light you should find Alexis. He became our superman to make our childhood dream real. He knows very well how to chase the lights. The pictures are amazing. He is the most amazing photographer that I have ever seen!!

I went on a Northern Lights hunt with Aleksi as my guide, and it was an unforgettable experience. He doesn’t rush the tour at all, there’s no strict time limit and you can genuinely feel that he wants to see the lights just as much as you do. His friendly personality and passion for what he does made the whole night even more enjoyable. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time, and we would highly recommend Rather Chilly to anyone considering booking a Northern Lights tour. You won’t regret it!

Had a incredible time hunting for the lights with Alexi. He had great communication and worked hard to get us to the best spots. He was prompt with the photograph distribution which are amazing. We liked having a small group for this tour. Would recommend when you are in Rovenemi!

May partner and I joined a Northern Lights hunt with Rather Chilly, and our guide Alexsy was fantastic. The weather in Rovaniemi was cloudy, but he didn’t give up and drove us all the way to Sweden to find clear skies. At first the aurora was faint, and it was –25°C, but Alexey kept encouraging us to stay. After nearly two hours, the Northern Lights became bright and stunning, truly unforgettable. He even lit a fire for us and offered marshmallows while we waited, which made the experience so cozy and special. Highly recommend!!!

Great experience with Aleksi! Such an easy process with communicating via whatsapp in the lead up to see which evening would be best to see the lights. He drove so far just so we could see them and I did love the added fire pit and marshmallows during our wait for the lights.

Aleksi was great! It is a hunter of the aurora borealis who wants to please you and takes the time it takes to see if the night allows. We received some great pictures afterwards. We can only recommend it.

We had an amazing Northern Lights hunt with Aleksi! He truly went above and beyond to make sure we got to see the lights and even driving all the way to Sweden in search of clear skies. His passion and dedication were incredible, and he shared so much interesting information along the way. It was a magical experience that we’ll never forget. Highly recommended!

Aleksi was fantastic! Luck was not on our side as it was very cloudy (these things happen!), but he went above and beyond (drove for hours) to try and catch a glimpse of the Aurora. Communication was easy, i was nervous booking activities from the other side of the world, but he answered every question quickly and clearly. He also reached out to us early on once we were in Finland to make a plan to give us the best chance of seeing the aurora. It was such a smooth process. He only takes a small group, which means its a personalised experience.... and the toughest critics (my kids) loved him. He also took some fun photos of our family using some clever colourful lights. He sent these to me as a high quality download the next day. He's a lovely guy offering a great service and i highly recommend him. Thanks Aleksi! We will be back one day.
