  It’s a great tour that includes multiple locations. I felt there was enough time in each location. The guide was very nice and explained things along the way.

  Booked this English-guided Excursion via Timar E.v.t. Travel (“Timar”) and have been in contact with them for a few days before the excursion. They have confirmed the pick up location and time of puck up. On the day of the excursion, I was telephoned by a tour guide from Nordic Travel who informed me that they are responsible for our excursion that day. As I was in front of Timar’s offices at that moment, I went in and inquired about the situation as it was very discomforting to not know who we are traveling with (no notice of being transferred to another agency beforehand nor have been informed that all our personal information, including passport numbers, have been shared with a third-party). To my surprise, no one present in Timar’s office at that moment spoke English… the tour guide from their end, who was just heading the Spanish excursion that day, just brushed me off by saying in Spanish: “you are not on my list, you must have been transferred to another agency beforehand”. Luckily, I speak enough Spanish to have been able to deal with the situation. Even though we have booked an English guided excursion, the majority of participants were locals who spoke no English. Thus, more than 85% of the day was spent speaking English and only the bare minimum was translated into English, which meant that anyone who did not speak Spanish was left listening to the tour guide going on and on for hours without knowing what is going on. The places visited were nice and the excursion was well structured but definitely would have been a terrible experience should none of us have spoken Spanish.

  Nice day trip, even if a little long the views pay off transfers... From Salta depart numerous tours, choose the one that seems most likeable costs differ by 2/3€. Consider that you arrive at a maximum altitude of 4200 meters... For those who have problems with altitude I recommend sleeping the first night in Salta (1200 meters) and then in Purmamarca, here mountain of 7 colors or Tilcara (2300/2500 meters) and from there organize the various excursions....

  We visited the salt lake by chance by car, without any tourists. The view is exceptional, it’s great and you can walk without fear. This is really not to be missed!

  Above all, it is important to know that all excursions leaving from Salta include a lot of travel time by bus, and little stopover time in small villages (I preferred not to have lunch to enjoy more Purmarmaca) . Knowing this, the landscapes of this excursion are magnificent, especially during the passage to the pass of Lipan at + 4000m altitude, then during the descent to Salinas grandes. The stop at the Solar is interesting but ultimately less spectacular ready view, that's only my opinion. The guide Sandra was very friendly, I thank her again for the visit.

  Very good tour and amazing value for money ! Everything was perfectly well timed and we got to see all places as promised . Raul , the guide is very intellectual and knows everything about the sites and the region. Highly recommended

  The excursion is beautiful and the places vomited are worth it but you spend too much time on the road, it is many kilometers and the roads not very good

  Very good excursion! I really liked the solar train and the Salinas Grandes! Purmamarca knew him. It's beautiful scenery. Very good guide and driver. It is important that you are attentive to the restaurants of Purmamarca. Expensive and with poor quality food.
