This beautiful location is only minutes from the heart of San Antonio. Located next to the meandering river, you will be captivated by the grandeur of these residences. Hear the stories behind 40 of these these historic homes where many of the city's most prominent citizens lived. See the beautiful residence built by the man who created the first ice cream soda, the refuge of the eccentric socialite who was buried sitting in her Ferrari, and the house where the inventor of the corn chip resided. Also, the home that had the first electric lights in the city, and the houses of a famous tenor and another where a writer began her career. What do Elvis Presley, Davy Crockett and Lily Munster have to do with King William ? Hear all these stories and many more on your guided walking tour. Every step forward is a step back in time.

We will take a casual stroll along the leafy streets of historic King William, and during this walking tour, you will hear the history and the stories of these grand residences. Find out about their unique architecture, those who designed and built them, and the families who lived in these stunning homes. We had a nice size group of 10 people. The walking tour started on time and lasted about 3 hours. Stewart is a wealth of interesting knowledge about the different homes and the people who owned them. He showed us extra photo information to enhance the experience. I highly recommend the adventure!

Walking tour was great. Guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer lots of questions. Enjoyed hearing the stories about the houses. Beautiful neighborhood to explore.

Stewart was a wealth of information, explaining the history of these beautiful homes. Really enjoyed Stewart's personal information, he was able to share events and conversations he has had in relations to this area of San Antonio. Would recommend this tour.
