Cramped dirty and felt so sorry for a lot of the 'exhibits' poor sea otters, penguins and sea turtle in particular. Haven't visited for a few years but really hoped Birmingham sealife centre was up to date with latest conservation concerns. Too many cramped tanks, plastic plants, dirty glass, terrible 'living/ survival? conditions and sad bleak ambience. Highly NOT recommended.

We paid half price from the Black Friday offer and I would be happy to pay that again but I feel the full price tickets are overpriced for what is at The Sealife Centre now. There isn’t loads to see, you end up in the gift shop quicker than you expect and although it was very busy, we got round in less than an hour.
Good to see the sea life, but cramped and overpriced

It's good but horrendously overpriced for the size, no cloakroom, felt quite cramped and neglected. The penguins seemed happy enough, at least and the kids loved them, and the various tunnels. Can't really go over 3 stars unless they cut the price by at least 50%.
Enjoyable visit for children.

We visited the SeaLife centre for my daughter’s 12th birthday. My other children are aged 9 and 5 and they all loved the experience. It’s not overly big so doesn’t take too long to get around but there was plenty to see so they didn’t get bored. My criticism with our visit isn’t to do with the venue itself but the area. The website stated to park at Brindley Place or the Utilita Arena South car parks. Brindley Place was crossed off the signage as it has closed down and the Utilita Arena is signposted as the old NIA which we didn’t realise at first. Upon getting closer there were no signs for the South car park, only the West. Only after going wrong and having to turn around did we spot a sign for the South car park and managed to park ok. This made us late for our entrance time but we went in without any problems. A heads up for anyone visiting from outside the area. Please pay attention to the Clean Air Zone signs and remember to pay the charge when you get home if you don’t do it before. We completely forgot following a lovely day and have been issued with a £60 fine.
Fascinating Sea Life but Incredibly Busy

Our third visit over the last 5 years with our granddaughter who is now eight, she loved the stingrays and the sea otters and walking through the tunnel. There is plenty to interest the adults too, I was enthralled by the octopus, the seahorses and the jellyfish. The penguins and sea creatures seemed content enough and their environment looked clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and one took time to chat to our granddaughter about the sharks. It took about an hour and a half to walk around and in truth we had enough by the time we got to the end mainly because it was incredibly busy and noisy, full of families with young children. Would have preferred a quieter time to visit but we were told it was always like that during the school holidays.

I enjoyed every sight of the view I stayed 2hours, it was a bit crowded, the staff were helpful. It’s best for kids and adults too

Poor value for money, nothing amazing, number of animals is low, my 2 yo just wanted to go out from there. Slowly we did it in 1 hr. Mu ch better things for this price mark.

We went to the sea life centre today to see Santa again like we did in 2024 as it was amazing, this year was awful 20 mins queuing even tho we had a time on ticket that we brought, Santas grotto was rubbish tree was awful no babbles hardly or lights, and Santa was skinny and rubbish nothing like last year will not be returning

We both loved it so much, there is such a range of animals and so many different spaces to see them so even when it is busy you’re able to get to where you want to be! Despite it being busy (Midday on a Saturday) we both adored every part of it and have told everyone how great it was, we recommend to no end! Spent about £20 each, and considering you can spend as long as you like there I think that’s very valid.
