5.00I recently visited Shrewsbury Prison with my family and took the guided tour with Malcolm, and it was a fantastic experience. Malcolm was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history of the prison to life with engaging stories and clear explanations. He was friendly, interactive, and made sure everyone in the group was involved and able to ask questions. My kids were absolutely fascinated by the history and talked about it long after the tour ended. The whole experience was well worth the money. One tip: wrap up warm as it is really cold! Highly recommended.

4.00We had a fantastic day on the Shrewsbury guided prison tour. It was way better than we expected it to be. My nan is in a wheelchair and she could do the whole tour with no issues, which was great. Our guide was really freindly and fun, it was great how he compared this prison to new ones. Really fun and a good day out!

5.00We opted for a guided tour, it was extremely helpful and more informative that if we had opted for the self guided tour. Dan was very knowledgeable and engaged well with the group. The tour is a good length and goes into the history, wrap up warm as it is very cold. Thank you, recommend anyone visits.

5.00My husband and I visited Shrewsbury prison for a guided tour. The reception staff were welcoming and chatty. This was one of the most interesting and informative tours I’ve ever been on. Dan was our guide and he was very good, interacted with the group, added humour and made us think about the prison system past and present . The prison is cold, so wrap up warm, tour took just over 2 hours and then we had a lovely hot chocolate to warm up. I’d recommend the guided tour as you wouldn’t find out half of what we did by going around on your own.

5.00I guess a guided tour is only as good as the guide which means this one shouldn’t be missed. Thanks Sarah…! It was a real eye opener and psychics beware, there is a genuine spirit presence which my wife felt in two locations. Learnt where some everyday expressions came from and learned a lot about Victorian prisons to modern day. Do you know cells only had toilets from 1995? I didn’t! A full 1.5 hour tour and worth every penny

5.00We had a fantastic visit on new year's eve. Sarah our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely recommend the guided tour as you get more out of the experience.

5.00We bought escape experiences for our sons and their girlfriends…. All booked into the 3 cells simultaneously. Whilst they were locked up we booked onto the guided tour. Excellent. So packed with masses of information, really interesting, well delivered and well paced. Really well done. Thank you to Dan the guide. So my advice to you - book a guided tour. Second bit of advice- wrap up warm! They do tell you to but honestly, it was 6 degrees outside and about the same inside! Very cold but still an excellent day. The kids all got out… and we enjoyed a delicious lunch in the cafe too. A grand day out
