During Winter (June, July & August) rain or shine you’re covered:

Your full day hire includes a bike, helmet, Hi-Viz vest, wine map and pick up from your local accommodation.
Tandems, child tagalong bikes, trailers, baby seats and E-Bikes are also available as an optional paid upgrade option.

Explore Marlborough Wine Tours
Having been picked up from your accommodation you will be taken to Explore Marlborough's base at the Vines Village where you will be set up on your bike, given a helmet and a hi-viz vest. The Vines Village has restrooms, a cafe and a cellar door.

5.00Weather changed quickly and I made a last minute decision to book the night before. Easy enough on line, but I called in the am to be sure they had our pick-up location. Now know they do WhatsApp, would have called via that instead of activating my US phone, but ok! Great service, info & friendly environment. Pre-self guided info was helpful. Kat was great! Best day all round! Highly recommend. Just let the buyer beware; if it’s rainy or too windy may not be the same wonderful day!

5.00Terrible weather at 10am pick up. By the time we got to Marlborough it had stopped. We managed 4 cellar doors,all outstanding. Really good day. The driver/tour man was exceptional. Bikes great.

5.00It was great—I had an amazing experience! The organisers picked me up from my Airbnb and even dropped me off at the airport after the tour. I got a free upgrade to an electric bike (at the price of a standard one) since I couldn’t do the full tour due to time constraints. The ride and the tour were incredible, and the wine tasting was just perfect. I loved every minute of it!

5.00We really enjoyed this activity. We were picked up from our hotel in a minibus and taken to the starting point where we collected our bikes. It was all well organised and the bikes were in good working order.Our tour guide explained a little about each vineyard and gave us a small map and then we were left to get on with our own itinery. It would have been helpful to have a little more info about each vineyard written down to take with us, there was a lot to remember. We did get a little lost early on but managed to get back on track quite easily. If help was needed we had a contact number to use. Although we had to cycle on some roads, it felt quite safe as the main roads were very wide but most of the trip involved gravel tracks with minimal traffic. We were given a voucher to use towards a meal at any of the vineyards. It was great fun trying out different wines and enjoying the wonderful cheese platters to soak up the alcohol. There was no pressure at all to buy any wine and the vineyards were very relaxed, we could sit in the beautiful gardens and just enjoy the scenery. If you did want to purchase wine, it could be bought and left at the vineyard and the tour guide would collect it for you so you didn't have to carry any wine on the bikes!

5.00We really enjoyed our day cycling around all the wineries, tasting along the way! When we pre-booked, we didn’t realise how close our accommodation was to the bike collection and requested a pick-up. They collected us but as we were so close said we could keep the bikes overnight and they would pick them up from us the next morning which was great as it meant we were under no time constraints and could simply cycle to our accommodation at the end of the day. We were given a map and we planned our route with their help and advice before departing The Vines. The roads are so flat, so the cycling is all very easy with a cycle path along most of the routes. Highly recommend this activity for a day as you can spend as long as you like at each winery with no need for a designated driver and so taste the wines to your heart’s content!
