Semarang City, the capital of Central Java Province, is located on the north Coast of Java Sea. Surrounded by lowlands, mountains, and paddy fields, makes Semarang perfect to visit for some excursions. Visiting Semarang is like going through a time machine. 5.00I booked a city tour in Semarang. Nane, the guide was a very knowledgeable, friendly and fun person. She asked about my preferences and she takes my wishes into account gracefully during the whole tour. No problem at all, if I wanted to stop somewhere during the tour to try something out. Nane also gave lots of valuable info about the local food, culture and the eateries in the neighborhood. As I like to try local snacks, she did her utmost to buy me all sorts of local snacks and delicacies. Thank you, Nane! I highly recommend Nane as your semarang city tour guide.

5.00Our English speaking guide was knowledgeable, informative and considerate. We took this tour as we are seniors and wanted a more relaxed experience, coping with our needs, it was exactly that. Our driver negotiated the busy streets with ease making our journey very comfortable.

5.00This was a wonderful tour of the highlights of Semarang with our extremely very knowledgeable guide Taufan. Taufan provided an in depth history of Semarang from its early days under Dutch control to modern times. Lunch at an upscale local restaurant was delicious. Couldn’t have asked for a better day.

5.00Had 2 amazing excursions (Semarang and Surabaya Indonesia) with Olivia as our guide and Harry as our driver. Harry was the perfect driver and Olivia was very knowledgeable with both ports. She took lots of pictures of us and shared them us. Also experienced some delicious food that we would not have on our own. She was the perfect host

5.00Even though I booked our tour for my husband and me, my husband picked up a bug on the cruise ship and was under the weather that day; therefore, I alone joined Ferro, the guide, and Ali, the driver, for a very good day of seeing the highlights of Semarang. First, Stanley of East Journey Travel did a fine job of setting up the tour. I was happy with both Ferro, whose English was excellent, and Ali’s expert driving. We saw everything on my highlights list except the Pagoda, which I will save for next time. Since my husband and I always visit universities around the world, I particularly enjoyed seeing a little of Diponegoro U….it was also interesting to see more of the affluent part of Semarang on the way there. The old colonial city and church, which is being renovated, were worth a stop as well, though a very impressive display of lightning and thunder (at the exact same time, which means it’s a little too close) with a deluge of rain prevented a casual walk-around. Next time. Kudos to Stanley, Ferro, and Ali for a job well-done. Thank you again!

5.00We had the most amazing day! I was able to see my home where I lived in ‘1964 and also the hospital I was born in ‘1958❤️. The cigarette factory was amazing to see and learn how they roll the cigarettes. The food was so delicious! And I can’t say enough about how wonderful Uke was! I love this young lady❣️ I would recommend Uke to anyone that wants an amazing tour. Thank you! Terima kashi Uke and Harry our driver who was great! Picked us up at the Cruise Port which is a BIG plus!
