One of the earliest towns to be founded in California was Sacramento during the Gold Rush. Old Sac is committed to restoring historical structures so that we can think back on the past. People from all over the world relocated to Sacramento with the hope of getting wealthy. But a number of tragedies, including floods, fires, and a troubled history, cast a shadow on those dreams.
We will visit haunted trains, boats, and tunnels throughout our tour. Discover what lurks below the city's streets. Learn about the disasters that took place in the region during the early days of rail travel. Meet two businessmen that created this city during the Gold Rush and learn about a young child whose heart-warming story has touched people's hearts all around Sacramento. The Delta King is the first stop on our itinerary. She is a riverboat that has been transformed into a restaurant and hotel. Her interesting past comprises multiple moves and bankruptcy. The Delta King has reportedly been visited by three different ghosts.
California State Railroad Museum
Our next stop is the California State Railroad Museum. The museum was built by railroad enthusiasts in 1937. The museum contains 21 complete railroad cars, linked to exploitation and death, with the ghosts said to be appeased by something called the Hungry Ghost Festival.

3.00Tour was interesting but a little disappointing. Did not get into the buildings the tour guide talked about. Guess you need to pay extra for that. The meet up place was located in front of the public bathrooms and the smell was horrible. Plus the guide should have been carrying a lantern so we could identify him but he did not. That was the most disappointing thing. It was okay.

5.00this was a fun experience. Not as much ghost hunting as the history of the buildings of Sacramento...so not scary at all....Ethan was a great tour guide and fun and engaging. He knew his history and was enthusiastic and funny. This is a totally outdoor experience, so make sure you bring a sweater as the tempature in Sacramento can change drastically when the sun goes down

4.00I had an absolutely fantastic time on the Shadows & Scandals Ghost Tour! From start to finish, it was a perfect mix of history, suspense, and spooky fun. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and had a way of bringing Sacramento’s haunted past to life with engaging stories and just the right amount of eerie suspense. The walking route through Old Town was scenic and full of charm, and each location had its own unique tale that kept us on the edge of our seats. Whether you’re a history buff, a ghost enthusiast, or just looking for a fun night out, this tour is an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Sacramento!

5.00Wasn’t quite sure how a walking tour could effectively conjure up the history of Sacramento with its paranormal activities, but our guide did amazing job. I’ll never look at old Sac the same way again. 🤗

4.00Kat the tour guide was great. Learn some interesting things about Old Sacramento that I never knew. Very enjoyable. The only issue is that the app said one address that we should meet on the bike trail and then the link said another Front Street so we had a hard time finding where we were supposed to meet.
This experience was a solid 10/10! My friend and I had such a wonderful time exploring Old Sacramento.

5.00This Tour was a 10/10 experience! My friend and I had such a wonderful time exploring Old Sacramento.It was incredible hearing all the history, especially when mixed with the spooky facts. Our guide, Lydia, was amazing! she was packed with fun facts and historical insights that made the entire tour absolutely fascinating and a great memory making experience. Lydia was exceptionally knowledgeable, answered every question, and truly made our night special. Her kindness went above and beyond! she helped us find our meeting spot when we first arrived lost, and even ensured we safely found our way back to our cars afterward. She is a truly sweet person, and I would absolutely love to do this tour again! If you choose this tour, definitely request Lydia as your guide, you won't regret it!
