One of the most exciting boat trips is to visit the sunken city of Kekova. A terrible earthquake in the 2nd century AD caused a downward shift of land and submerged the ancient houses. You will travel by our vehicle to Ucagiz Village and then take a boat to Kekova area where you will witness the remains of the ancient city.
The ancient Lycian sunken city of Simena is often referred to as Kekova-Simena. The city is a charming mix of ancient, medieval and modern history making it interesting as well as beautiful.
The day begins with a drive to Üçağız village from our office in Kas center to board the boat which will then stop for a swim at Aquarium bay.

DEPARTURE : 9:30 RETURN : 18.00 Shared Boat Tour of the Sunken City in Kekova- from Kas Harbor including lunch on board start around 10:00 from our Larsoy Travel and Tourism Office at the center of Kas. Spend a day on the water with our brand new 24 meter Traditional Wooden boat , relaxing in the sun, swimming in the refreshing sea and experiencing awe-inspiring ancient ruins, all from the comfort of our boat. Our experienced captain will guide us to the region’s best swimming spots, sharing interesting information along the way. We’ll explore the quaint village of Kalekoy and photograph the sunken city of Kekova, all with the energy provided by a delicious lunch and the warm Mediterranean sun.
We’ll board the boat and set off on our journey through the calm waters towards Kekova. You be offered refreshments in the sun as we continue on our scenic 1.5 hours cruising to our first stop, Inonu Bay, where you’ll have to chance to swim

5.00Look no further than a day on the water with Kaptan Ergun Cruises. You’ll get excellent commentary, delicious and fresh food and you are in safe and friendly hands. The staff were very good, all under the guidance of the owner/operator. Lunch is served at your seat with two choices (chicken or fish), freshly prepared on board with various beautiful salads. Then later in the afternoon baklava and Turkish tea. We sat up top, which meant fresh air and fantastic views, just remember to pack a jacket in case the wind comes up. Pack your swimming togs too because there are several opportunities to take a swim in the beautiful water. All up, great value for approx 8 hours on the water.
This trip is definitely worth doing - great value!!

5.00What a pleasurable day we had on our Kaptan Ergun boat cruise. It was a full day of exploring the area, departing from Kas at 9.30am, returning around 6pm. The crew were very professional, gave interesting commentary in English and Turkish and safety of us all was clearly paramount. We were given a really lovely lunch which included various fresh salads and a choice of freshly cooked (and still hot) fish or chicken, served personally to every guest at the seat. Then later in the day beautiful baklava and Turkish tea. We were given plenty of time to swim at various locations, as well as a stop off at Kekova to visit Kale Castle. It was an excellent day and well worth the money we paid.

5.00It was a wonderful tour, a great captain, a great crew, especially lunch which was more delicious than I expected, we had all kinds of cold drinks and transportation, and the villages we visited were all beautiful in their own way. A very convenient location for boat tours.

5.00Absolutely spectacular day, thoroughly enjoyed. The itinerary was great with enough time on Kekova island and at swimming stops. Lunch was extremely delicious. The boat including the amenities was spotless. Most importantly the staff were amazing, so kind and personal. Many thanks 😊

5.00Really enjoyed this tour, Kaptan Ergun and his crew did a fantastic job. We were taken to some lovely sheltered spots for a swim in turquoise waters and sailed by the Sunken City with commentary. We also had a stop at Kale Kastle were we were given free time to go ashore and explore. The boat is extremely well maintained and clean. Lunch was provided and you are able to purchase drinks on board at very reasonable prices. Value for money and a great day out. Would highly recommend.

We would particularly like to highlight the attentive Service, the delicious catering and the excellent food – everything was perfectly organized down to the last detail. 5.00we had a great day on the ergun boat! very nice boat very well maintained! even if there are many people on the boat, we always managed to find places to land to be out of the crowd! the swimming spots are amazing and really worth the visit, the captain even suggested to those who wanted to follow him for a discovery of the surroundings by swimming! remember to take your own snorkeling equipment, even if the team offers (€) but there is not necessarily everything depending on the stock. the staff was very friendly throughout the day and offers very good meals + watermelon + tea! There is also a very varied offer at the bar for drinks and snacks (€). Must do if you are visiting Kas!
