Captain Cook's Landing Place
Your half-day tour will begin with a pickup from your accommodation on the Island of Tongatapu. From here we head to the East Coast of Tonga, the largest part of Tongatapu. Stop at Captain Cook Landing, where the great English explorer landed on the 30th of April 1777.
Ancient Royal Tombs of Lapaha
Your next historical stop is the Langi, the burial tomb of ancient Tongan Kings. The construction of the tombs at Lapaha are considered engineering wonders and date back to 1300BC. The ancient royal tombs (Langi) at Lapaha on Tongatapu are one of the great ceremonial sites of the Pacific. The Lapaha tombs symbolise the association between political and spiritual power that was held by royalty and high-chiefs in the Pacific.

Our first time in Nuku'alofa, arrived on Pacific Adventure. We were met at the port with a clearly marked sign for our group and a VERY warm welcome. We enjoyed the various stops along the way to the cave, the fruit refreshment,Coconut and the friendly hospitality of Teta Tours. Thank you for a lovely day.

Our guide was awesome - extremely knowledgeable and keen to share his culture and history with us. He was waiting for us at the port as organised. Comfortable transport with A/C. Just 4 of us in the group so nice and personalised. Fruit and cold drink supplied, along with some weaving, Kava tasting, a swim in the cave and then the beach, Take an underwater camera for shots in the cave.
