What a great trip!! Saw so many wonderful places. We saw places that we probably would never have got to under our own steam. A lovely group of people from all over Europe made it an even better experience!! A big thanks to Lee for helping me and my sister out when our dad took ill while we were on the trip. Would recommend Busy Bus if you want a full sightseeing day. Excellent value for money!!.

This was awesome! One of our favorite tours during our trip. Our guide was so fun and knowledgeable! We felt that it was a good mix of sites; we gained a good sense of the area's beauty and some of its history. The small group atmosphere made it even better for us!

This is a whirlwind sampling of Northern Wales. The tour operator had lots of interesting information to share with us, and the black sheep game was a great way to keep everyone engaged whilest we drove through the countryside between sites. Definitely a lot of walking, so wear comfy shoes!

We had an incredible experience with BusyBus during our recent cruise stop in Liverpool. Liverpool was added to our itinerary at the last minute, and we were so grateful that BusyBus was able to accommodate us on short notice. From the start, the communication was smooth and professional, and they made the whole booking process stress-free. Our driver, Frank, was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and full of great insights about the region. He navigated us safely through the beautiful Welsh countryside and made sure we stayed on schedule while still feeling relaxed. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned with well chosen stops, and we were given plenty of time to explore at each location without feeling rushed. It was the perfect balance of sightseeing and free time. Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a reliable and enjoyable way to experience Northern Wales!

We were booked on the Busybus day tour to North Wales. All guests arrived on time (by 8:30) and there are 15 of us in a 16-seat Mercedes mini-bus. Our driver/guide was Shelly and she was terrific. I will give the tour four stars of our five as the seating is too tight. Like I am finding is common on this type of vehicle, the rows are too close together and people’s knees are in the seat back of the seat in front of them or you have to sit sideways with legs in the aisle. Busybus claims on their website that all their tours are “With your comfort in mind.” With a 190 mile tour there is a lot of time in the vehicle and it wasn’t all that comfortable for sure. The first stop on our tour is Conwy Town, the home of Conwy Castle, a world heritage site. We first walked through town to take photos of the “Smallest house in the UK.” This is actually listed in Guinness World Records. Nearby were the public toilets, certainly there are on the “Rough” side. We walked back up to the castle and DW and I bought admissions to explore the castle. The castle dates from King Edward 1st built between 1283 & 1289. I climbed up to the wall and walked ½ around the castle wall, taking photos along the way. The photos of the Conwy suspension bridge, built in 1822-1826 are terrific. The bridge is one of the first suspension bridges in the world designed by Thomas Telford, a Scottish civil engineer. The bridge is now maintained by the UK National Trust and remains open for pedestrians and bicycles. The next stop was a drive through Snowdonia National Park. We left the main road to roll along a winding one-lane road through the valley. We stopped for 40 minutes at a point where we could take photos of the Llynogwen valley, Ogwen lake (a rumored resting place for Excalibur), and of the surrounding mountains, all of which had plenty of sheep grazing on them. Wales has a population of 3.2 million people, and 12 million sheep. We moved on to the local capital town of Betws-Y-Coed. It could have been named “Tourist trap.” We had lunch at “Nemo’s” a fish spot our guide recommended. The fish was good cod and there was plenty of it, but it was very greasy. I ended up with an upset stomach. We walked around the town and took a look in a few shops. At a convenience store I bought some shortbread cookies to settle my stomach. We then moved on to our last stop, the Pontcysyllte Canal Aqueduct. This aqueduct was also designed by Thomas Telford, and it is the tallest aqueduct in the world It took ten years to build and was completed in 1805. It is still used today to transport canal barges across it daily (except January and February). The aqueduct is another world heritage site. We very much enjoyed our walk across the aqueduct and took many photos. Here Shelly took extra care to help DW enjoy the aqueduct (she doesn’t like heights). From here we returned to the ship, about an hour’s drive, arriving just before 5:30.
